Background:
The bhi EQ20 uses a Class D amplifier for efficiency and to reduce the need for heavy metal heatsinking. The only down side is that grounds or speaker outputs cannot be connected together as this may cause damage to the amplifier chip, which means that powered speakers cannot connected directly to the speaker outputs of the EQ20.
The bhi Line Level Converter LLC1 converts the speaker level audio output of your bhi ParaPro EQ20 audio DSP unit to an isolated RCA line-level audio signal. This isolates the Class D amplifier stage from the line level output connection enabling powered speakers, an amplifier, or a recording device to be used with the bhi EQ20 unit. The LLC1 can handle the output from class D amplifiers designed for driving up to 10 watts into a standard 4 ohm or 8 ohm speaker.
Connections:
The LLC1 has an audio lead with two RCA phono plugs at one end for connection to the bhi EQ20 unit, and a stereo 3.5mm (1/8 in.) socket at the other end for the connection to powered speakers, an amplifier, or a recording device.
