These InnovAntenna baluns feature a ferrite core covered in a glue filled UV stable heat-shrink. Ring terminals allow for easy connection to the feed point of your Yagi antenna.
Why use a balun? When an unbalanced coaxial feedline connects to a balanced antenna, unwanted currents can flow along the coax, distorting your antenna pattern and reducing its Front-to-Back ratio. These currents can also introduce RF interference in your home and even your neighbors
