DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam 5-Band Wire Element Kit
DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam 5-Band Wire Element Kit is a component of parts and assemblies that are used to construct the directional XB-5 HF Antenna. It features innovation and convenience for the assembler of this high performance antenna. Here are the items included in this kit: - Wire Elements made from high quality AWG 14 stranded copper with a relaxed black PVC insulation for longevity - Band specific Driven Elements and Reflectors are pre-cut and pre-assembled with color coded and printed shrink tubing near one end for easy identification - Floating Element Wire Guides – studded element and P-clamps with nylon guide tubes that secure the elements to the Hexx Beam fiberglass spreaders while allowing independent movement to reduce strain - Innovative Element Spacers, five pairs of band specific lengths made of Acetal rods that are cut and drilled for specific band spacing. Closely spaced holes secure driven and reflector wire element ends with a simple serpentine routing. This allows easy adjustments of element lengths if tuning is necessary. DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam Spreader and Center Post Kit
The DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam Spreader and Center Post Kit is a component of the XB-5 Hexx Beam that contains parts for the antenna assembly. The Spreaders and Center Post are manufactured from high quality fiberglass material and all the parts are used as-is and no cutting or drilling is required. This helps to reduce the risk of stray fibers becoming a problem during assembly. This DXE-XB-5-SCP kit includes: - Pre-assembled Spreader Support "Ice" Ropes terminated with thimbles - Stainless Steel Carabiners for easy assembly - Pre-cut Fiberglass Spreader Sections of the appropriate lengths and diameters - Pre-cut Fiberglass Center Post - Element Clamps to serve as stops for the spreader sections and Guy Ring - Vinyl Cap - Guy Rings - only the 1-1/4 in. The patented* DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam 5-Band Rigid Feeder System, DXE-XB-5-FF, is specifically designed for the DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam. A professionally engineered Stainless Steel and PTFE flat balanced feedline system, the Rigid Feeder eliminates vulnerable coaxial cable sections - providing a weatherproof, low-loss, high power balanced connection to all five bands - 20, 17, 15 12 and 10 meters. Used with the DX Engineering Maxi-Core 1:1 Balun, this balanced feeder solves the pattern-skewing problems created by the unbalanced coaxial post feeders used by others, for the optimal antenna pattern and maximum XB-5 Hexx Beam performance. This revolutionary Rigid Feeder attaches directly to the outside of the full-size 1-1/4" fiberglass Center Post of the DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam. There is no drilling for attachments that would weaken the Center Post. The integral wire element center insulators with the unique serpentine wire grip and strain relief assure long, reliable performance. Rated to handle more power than the legal limit, the DXE-XB-5-FF Rigid Feeder is pre-assembled and tested and is also ideal for retrofitting to other hex beams. DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam Hexx Hub
The patented* DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam Hexx Hub provides a strong, solid base for the entire XB-5 Hexx Beam antenna. Made from cast aluminum and machined to perfection, the Hexx Hub is far superior to available base plate designs. The Hexx Hub has integral V-Saddles and with the included Stainless Steel V-Bolt hardware firmly attaches Hexx Beam fiberglass spreaders in proper alignment without drilling or crushing. The upper and lower mast mounts are integrally cast into the hub, eliminating the need to find separate mounting flanges, reducing assembly time, improving mast alignment and providing a far stronger heavy duty attachment for the mast. The all-new DX Engineering XB-5 Hexx Beam Mast Mount Kit, DXE-XB-5-MMK, is a component of the DXE-XB-5 Hexx Beam, used in the initial assembly and final mounting of the antenna onto a user supplied mast of 1.25 to 2.00 in. OD. The DXE-XB-5-MMK Mast Mount includes: - One Center Post Aluminum Mounting Tube, 1.50 in. OD for the XB-5 Hexx Beam - One Element Clamp for use on the Center Post during assembly. - One Mast Mount Plate, Heavy-Duty, 1/4 inch formed aluminum 16 x 5.125 in. with inline clamp holes - Two DXE-SAD-150A U-Bolt Saddle Clamps for the Hexx Beam Mounting Tube - Two DXE-CAVS-2P V-Bolt Saddle Clamps for the user supplied 1.25 to 2.00 in. OD mast. Additional lower holes accommodate two optional DXE-SAD-300B U-Bolt Saddle Clamps for only a 3.00 in. OD mast, or two DXE-CAVS-3P for a 2.00 to 3.00 in.
