A ring terminal with a 1/4 in. hole is crimped and soldered to a 12 in. long insulated 14 AWG stranded copper wire, complete with weather-protective heat shrink tubing. Then, these feed point wires are terminated to the center pin of an N-type male or UHF male PL-259 with special insulating sleeves and weather-sealing heat shrink.

This wire and connector combination allows for the complete weather sealing of a single wire feed point, while properly terminating the feedline shield to the radial system or ground point of the antenna system.
