They allow for the convenient charging of your ICOM HT battery while in a vehicle. The drop-in charger (not supplied) is fastened to the MB-130 bracket by screws or snap-tabs and the radio is held secure with a mini bungee strap. These brackets are great for those folks that spend a lot of time in a vehicle.
