Astron Corporation OVPR-12V Accessory Circuits will provide a hiccup recovery function to Astron's linear-regulated power supplies. These power supplies have superb overvoltage protection circuit that will clamp the voltage of their power supply to near 0 volts when the output has exceeded the pre-set maximum voltage. In most Astron power supplies, that point is near 15 Vdc. The "crowbar" circuit that protects the power supply and its associated equipment is very fast and remains in protect-mode until either the 120 volt power has been dropped for a few seconds or the crowbar has been automatically reset by the OVPR-12V accessory circuit. Samlex BRM Series Power Supply Modules
These Samlex BRM Series Power Supply Modules are designed to employ the BRM power-sharing bus system. These optional modules can be added internally to upgrade the current capacity of SEC-40BRM, SEC-60BRM, or SEC-80BRM power supplies to a maximum of 100A in 20A increments. Should an existing module fail, they also serve as original equipment replacements. Designed in your choice of 12V/20A or 24V/10A modules, the current-sharing bus system uses power supply modules in parallel to provide the N+1 redundancy that some applications require. For example, using an SEC-80BRM supply to power a 35A load on a 12V system would allow for as many as two of the four 20A power supply modules to fail. Even so, the SEC-80BRM would still supply the required load current of 35 amps! The failed modules could then be replaced without the urgency of a complete failure.
