DX Engineering Heavy-Duty 4130 Chromoly Steel Masts
DX Engineering offers Heavy Duty 4130 Chromoly Steel Masts in both 11 foot and 22 foot lengths. DX Engineering Heavy-Duty 4130 Chromoly Steel Masts offer ham radio operators an opportunity to stack large antennas. These 2-inch and 3-inch outside diameter galvanized masts feature a 0.250-inch wall thickness and meet ASTM A-513 Type 5 ratings. These high-strength carbon steel masts are cold-drawn and electric-welded with a specified yield stress rating of over 100,000 psi! Tensile strength minimum is above 110,000 psi. Minimum Rockwell B hardness is 96. They are temperature stress-relieved to ensure consistent mechanical strength. Compared to standard galvanized plumbing pipe, the Heavy‑Duty 4130 chromoly steel mast offers substantially greater strength and durability. The galvanizing on these masts meets ASTM A123/A123M specifications. As with all hot dip galvanized products, surface irregularities are normal. Any cut ends are protected with a cold galvanizing coating. Important: Because these masts are galvanized, their overall outside diameter will be larger than the nominal size. The 2 inch mast may measure up to 2.070 in. OD, and the 3 inch mast may measure up to 3.130 in. OD. Are you planning on stacking a few mono-banders on the tower? Are you going to have multiple Yagis stacked high and deep on an H frame? Are you raising a BIG log-periodic? If you are going to loft big antennas with a lot of wind area, then you absolutely need a DXE Heavy-Duty 4130 Steel Mast atop your heavy-duty tower! DX Engineering Heavy-Duty 4130 Chromoly Steel Masts may be ordered and picked-up at the Summit Racing Equipment Retail Store, 1200 Southeast Ave, Tallmadge, OH 44278. Because of their length, these masts require truck freight shipping. Our system automatically calculates our low cost truck freight rates to any location within the continental United States. With no obligation to purchase, simply click ADD TO CART, enter your ZIP Code, and click CALCULATE to view your shipping cost. Due to size restrictions, air freight is not available. For information regarding a surface freight shipment of these masts to locations outside of the continental US, send an e-mail inquiry to dxengineering@dxenginering.com.

ROHN Galvanized 16-Gauge Steel Masts
ROHN Galvanized 16-Gauge Steel Masts are commonly used with ROHN roof and wall mounts. Well known as the classic TV antenna mast, this swaged tubing features a locking joint to prevent rotational slipping and unwanted antenna rotation. Swaged tubing metal is compressed and made thicker so that the joint is stronger than the original material. Each section fits into the next, with no bulge and no hardware required. ROHN 16-gauge steel mast tubing is offered in two types of finishes, hot-dip galvanized and pre-galvanized. * ROHN hot-dip galvanized tubing is fabricated from high-strength steel and then immersed in molten zinc giving all surfaces, including the interior, an even coating of zinc for maximum corrosion protection. There are no seams, holes, or edges left uncoated. High-volume production provides cost effective light-duty mast tubing. * ROHN pre-galvanized tubing is made from a coil of steel which is galvanized at the steel mill, cut into strips, and then formed into a piece of tubing. Where the tubing is welded, zinc is sprayed over the weld to give it protection. It has a slightly uncoated seam on the inside and ends. The 5 ft. sections may be ground shipped for a fast, easy, and economical support for modest antenna. NOTE: The longer 10 ft. sections must be shipped by truck freight due to their length.
