Moonraker SkyScan VHF/UHF Receive Antennas are wideband, omnidirectional discone style antennas that are vertically polarized. The RX frequency range is from 25-2000 MHz and is a good, all-around antenna for scanners and shortwave listening. A 4.921 in. magnetic base is included for stationary portable use on a vehicle and 13.123 ft. of RG-58 coax is installed on the base with a BNC male connector on the receiver end. COMPACtenna Model SCAN-III NMO Mobile Monitor Antennas are very small, high performance dual-band antennas. Even though they're only 9 in. tall, supporting scanner reception from 100 through 1500 MHz and is optimized for 3 wide frequency bands, VHF 136-174 MHz, UHF 378-512 MHz and 750-960 MHz. They provide superior Omni-directional coverage far beyond their size, using a unique Electric-Magnetic Field Diversity patented* design. These are attractive, rugged and weatherproof radome style mobile antennas that will allow vehicle passage into most garages, drive-through lanes—and even under low tree branches without having to remove or tilt the antenna structure. COMPACtenna Model SCAN-III NMO Mobiles are easy to install and use, requiring no tuning. Their industry standard NMO base is compatible with a number of NMO vehicle magnet mounts, grounded NMO hole-mounts, hatch or trunk lip mounts or angle bracket mounts. The required NMO mount is not included with the antenna, but is available from DX Engineering. The revolutionary COMPACtenna Model SCAN-III NMO Mobile Monitor Antenna is also configurable as an indoor base or as an inconspicuous outdoor base antenna. Add an optional Larsen BSAKIT NMO Mast Mount and bend the radials downward at a 70 degree angle for best results.
