ERICO Flint Ignitors

ERICO Flint Ignitors are used to ignite the starting material when making a traditional ERICO CADWELD connection or a LENTON CADWELD rebar connection. The ignitor allows you to start the CADWELD process safely and with positive results. Useable with CADWELD ONE SHOTS and most other CADWELD exothermic welding processes, these ignitors are the ERICO recommended starting method. Order your ERICO Flint Ignitors from DX Engineering.

ERICO One-Shot PLUS Control Unit Replacement Leads

ERICO One-Shot PLUS Control Unit Replacement Leads make replacement of original ignition leads or acquisition of accessory leads very convenient. Available in 6 or 15 ft. lengths, these purpose-built ignition leads are used with CADWELD PLUS Control Units. These high-temperature control-unit leads attach between the controller and the One-Shot PLUS ignition strip, providing a safe distance between you and the exothermic weld material. Attachment to the weld igniter is accomplished using a custom made, purpose-designed termination clip. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Stand back and safely watch your welding operation! Replace or accessorize with ERICO One-Shot PLUS Control Unit Replacement Leads from DX Engineering!

ERICO B265 Cable Clamp Assemblies

ERICO B265 Cable Clamp Assemblies are designed for use with hard-drawn copper cable, copper-bonded conductors or any cable under tension that is difficult to hold in position. These clamps allow you to join up to three cables, in place, with ease. Use of these clamps aid in preventing cable movement and prolongs mold life by reducing excess stress. Cables are held in place by adjustable locking-grip pliers permanently affixed to the clamp frame. Their specially designed jaws will hold cables securely until the job is done. Extend your mold life while making your work easier. Order ERICO B265 Cable Clamp Assemblies from DX Engineering.

ERICO CADWELD PLUS Control Units

ERICO CADWELD PLUS Control Units are used to ignite the weld material in One-Shot PLUS exothermic welds. When common flint igniters are used for exothermic ignition, you must be right at the mold. That makes gloves and eye protection imperative. With CADWELD PLUS Control Units you may stand well away, providing a safety margin. CADWELD's model PLUSCU control unit comes with 8 AA batteries and will ignite about 600 One-Shot PLUS exothermic welds before battery exhaustion. These units include a 6-foot (1.8 meter) high temperature control unit lead. The lead attaches to the ignition strip using a custom made, purpose-designed termination clip. After the termination clip is installed on the ignition strip, the installer pushes and holds the ignition button to start a charging and discharging sequence. Within a few seconds the control unit sends a predetermined voltage to the ignition strip and the exothermic reaction is initiated. Once initiated, the ignition process is automatic. These control units are not for use with CADWELD One-Shot welding. Only One-Shot PLUS is designed for electronic ignition. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. Accessory or replacement leads are available in 6 and 15 ft. lengths. When you want total control of your exothermic welding processes, use ERICO CADWELD PLUS Control Units, now available from DX Engineering!

ERICO L160 Handle Clamps

ERICO L160 Handle Clamps are used to securely close their exothermic mold around the conductors to be welded. These handles work with most molds requiring 3 in. handle clamps. Most reusable ERICO molds are held together and in place by handle clamps. Order your ERICO L160 Handle Clamps from DX Engineering.

CADWELD T403 Mold Sealer

Sometimes, molten metal leaks out of a CADWELD mold around the cable strands, especially on 4/0, 7-strand cable. What can be done to mitigate this common occurrence? That's where CADWELD T403 Mold Sealer comes in! Especially after a mold has been used 15 to 20 times, the cable mold openings may become worn. After the mold has been locked on the cables, apply a ring of CADWELD mold sealer around the cable where it enters the mold. Don't force it into the mold! If it gets in the weld cavity, the molten metal will cause it to burn and give off gases which can cause an improper weld or spattering of molten welding material. CADWELD mold sealer is ideal for sealing hot or cold molds to reduce leakage from large stranded conductors and prolongs useful mold life when the cable opening has become worn. Used in small quantities, the 2-lbs. contained in the re-sealable tub will last a long time. CADWELD T403 Mold Sealer application is REQUIRED on certain ERICO CADWELD molds, such as Types HA, HB, HC, VG and VN. Order yours from DX Engineering.
