These side rails will also fit the IC-8600 and IC-9700 transceivers. Radio Side Rails guard the front and rear panels whenever the radio is used for portable operations. They are made from high-strength, lightweight, impact-resistant black polymer. These robust rails function as front handles, flaring outward to maintain easy access to the controls. Their curved shape at the back panel makes it easier to slip the transceiver into a backpack, and they are ideal for POTA activations as well as casual portable activities. Radio Side Rails are designed with precise cutouts for ventilation and connections, along with specialized contours that enable quick and easy mounting of an automatic antenna tuner or other accessories using hook and loop straps.
