Butternut HF9V 9-Band Vertical Antennas
Butternut HF9V Vertical Antennas work nine popular bands--80 through 6 meters--with an extremely efficient vertical radiator that's only 26 ft. tall! The HF9V antennas are easy to erect and tune antennas that will last you for many years. An internationally acclaimed antenna design, Butternut HF9V antennas require a complete ground radial system. The antenna comes with a 1 1/8 in. base insulator and a 1 1/4 in. O.D. x 2 ft. mounting tube for direct placement into the earth. The preferred, "easiest-to-tune", high-performance installation is the ground mounted HF9V, which requires a bare minimum of 12 evenly spread, straight radial wires. Many more radials are better, with double the number of evenly spread radials achieving nearly double the efficiency and signal performance, an effect that tops out at about 60 ground radials. Each radial wire stapled onto the ground or run an inch or so below the soil surface, may be any length from 20 to 45 ft. Radial wires need to be up to 50 percent longer over sandy and rocky soil to maintain efficiency. Want to hear and work the stations that other operators seem to be working easily? Enjoy advanced operations on the HF bands with a high performance vertical antenna installation. Have more fun DXing with great signals on your Butternut HF9V 9-Band Vertical Antenna.

Penta Labs RF Vacuum Tubes
Penta Laboratories was founded in 1951 and is a world-class manufacturer and distributor of a wide range of vacuum tubes for a variety of industries. Penta's commitment to excellence begins with design and follows each product all the way through distribution. Penta Labs matched vacuum tubes go through rigorous test procedures to enhance performance during their operation. Each Penta Labs vacuum tube is burned in for a minimum of 48 hours dissipating full power with filament, plate and screen voltages that are normally used in amplifier applications. All of this ensures that the various electrical parameters have stabilized and the matching of each vacuum tube will not drift during its lifetime. Penta Labs power tubes are matched within a 5% variation on all parameters. This is a process of eliminating tubes that test with bad values, rejecting those outside limits of design. Each passing vacuum tube is then tested on a fleet of WT-100A original RCA production testers for plate current, screen current and transconductance (gm). We also check for grid current and leakage between elements. When you receive single and matched vacuum tubes from Penta Labs, you can rest assured that you are receiving a product that has been thoroughly tested and will perform at levels unsurpassed in the industry. Palstar BT1500A 1500 Watt Double L Balanced Antenna Tuners
Palstar BT1500A 1500 Watt Double L Balanced Antenna Tuners are the only 1,500 watt, double-L network antenna tuners on the market today. BT1500A tuners feature two tandem mounted, precision ceramic roller inductors for a truly balanced tuner. A dual section capacitor provides the correct amount of capacitance for both low-band and high-band operation and is relay-switchable between the input and output side to provide the maximum possible range of impedance matching. So, why buy a balanced tuner? Joel Hallas described the problem many antenna tuners experience in his September 2004 QST article on balanced tuners. He wrote, "Unfortunately, the typical random sized center-fed antenna with random length ladder line feed has an impedance at the feed point that varies dramatically with frequency. The result can be heating and loss (and occasional damage) at the balun ... the classic solution has been the use of an inherently balanced tuner." In his QST article, Joel Hallas was reviewing Palstar's former model AT1500BAL as a high-power solution for amateur operators looking for a balanced tuner. Since that review, the engineers at Palstar have reengineered their AT1500BAL tuner inside and out and reintroduced it as their BT1500A. Palstar BT1500A 1500 Watt Double L Balanced Antenna Tuners feature two precision ceramic-body roller inductors mounted in tandem. The massive dual-section capacitor can be switched, with a front panel controlled relay, from the input side to the output side of the tuning network to provide maximum flexibility in tuning range. Another front panel controlled relay switches the two sections of the capacitor for high and low-band coverage. Plus, as a final touch to the BT1500A, Palstar's engineers added the peak and peak hold dual cross-needle metering found in our popular PM2000A wattmeter. Here are the specifications on these great double balanced antenna tuners; model BT1500A: -- Power rating: 1500 watts PEP -- Relay switched Hi/Low-Z impedance range -- Relay switched Hi/Low-C variable capacitor -- Total inductance of 44uH for greater impedance range on 160m -- Matching range: 160m - 20m (2500+/-j2500), 10m - 15m (1000+/-j1000) -- Two tandem-mounted ceramic body roller inductors - silver plated wheel and wheel shaft -- One turns counter and one crank handle drive both inductors -- Low minimum capacitance, dual-section variable capacitor (960pF/65pF @ 4.5kV) with Vernier drive for smooth accurate tuning -- Ferrite 1:1 input balun, required on double balanced tuners -- Peak and peak hold dual cross-needle metering (1-2 sec hold) with backlighting -- Cabinet metalwork is heavy 11 gauge (0.090 in. thick) Iridite®-coated aluminum; powder coated front panel and top cover Note: For additional information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. Please remember that Palstar BT1500A 1500 Watt Double L Balanced Antenna Tuners are highly-specialized tuners, designed to do only one thing--tune balanced-line feed antennas--and do it well. Carlson Model 25 Tower Lifts
Carlson Model 25 Tower Lifts are designed for use with Rohn® 25G and Amerite® 25 towers and is a precision-engineered mechanical elevator system that eliminates the need to repeatedly climb sectional lattice towers to perform needed servicing. The initial release, Model 25, works on ROHN® 25G and Amerite® 25 towers up to 60-feet tall. The Carlson Tower Lift can be installed together with new tower installations and retrofitted onto existing towers. The Lift secures the tower-top equipment – antenna(s), mast, rotator, thrust bearing – into a sturdy Carriage that is mechanically raised and lowered on the tower from ground level with an integrated winch-and-pulley system. The Lift enables the antenna and equipment to be lowered to a comfortable working height to safely and easily perform basic antenna equipment service, maintenance and replacement. The Lift then raises the Carriage and equipment back to the top of the tower.
