DX Engineering 2 x 8 Remote Antenna Smart Two Radio Switch System
DX Engineering 2 x 8 Remote Antenna Smart Two Radio Switch System, model DXE-RRMX2X8, is a packaged combination of one DXE-RR2X8B Two-Radio, Eight Port Remote Switch, one DXE-MX2X8 Interface Unit and two DXE-CC-8A Control Consoles. Each control console (A and B) can select one of 7 or 8 positions available. When one console has one particular position selected, the other console is locked out of that position - first come, first served. Providing manual SO2R functionality for two-radio selection of eight antenna systems from 100 kHz through 54 MHz, the DXE-RRMX2X8 Smart System offers virtually no loss across HF and excellent low-loss performance on six meters (less than 0.16 dB of loss at 50 MHz). The RR2X8 dual star-pattern arrangement of 24 internal relays achieves vastly improved port-to-port isolation, very low SWR and excellent power handling over conventional remote coax switches, providing connection of eight SO-239 antenna output ports to either the A (master) or B (slave) SO-239 input ports. The DXE-RRMX2X8 system also uses removable screw terminal plugs for the control cables. The removable plugs greatly simplify installation by eliminating the need for soldering. Disassembly is not required for control wiring access.
