In some locations with lots of lightning, or wind driven static charge buildup, a spare protector or this replacement parts kit is a smart investment. In a few locations you may never need one of these kits. But, here are the parts to rebuild the DXE-LLSP should the need ever arise. These are exactly the same components used in the DXE-LLSP. Along with a replacement PC board, the capacitors, resistors and gas discharge tubes provided are larger than those used in coaxial units. These components are rated to handle 5 kW, so the DXE-LLSP easily handles well over legal limit RF power at the high standing wave ratios expected on balanced line. DX Engineering Three Coax Tower Grounding Brackets
DX Engineering Three Coax Tower Grounding Brackets DXE-3CTGB-2 provide secure bonding points and standoffs for cable shields and connectors on tower installations. They are designed to help bond cable shields to the tower at the top, bottom, and every 75 feet on taller towers. Regular bonding helps keep the cable shield and tower leg at a similar electrical potential, creating a controlled conductive path. This can reduce the risk of cable jacket damage caused by high-energy pulses from a charged tower or nearby lightning. Without proper bonding, energy may arc through the cable jacket and create pinhole damage. The DXE-3CTGB-2 helps prevent this by providing a durable, repeatable bonding point at the recommended intervals. Features of the DXE-3CTGB-2: • Attaches on 1.00 to 2.00 in. tower legs, including ROHN 25G/45G/55G and Amerite 25/45/55 Series Tower Legs, using the included DX Engineering DXE-SSVC-2P Stainless-Steel Saddle Clamp. • Made from high quality 0.125 in. thickness laser cut stainless steel. • Holds up to three cables and connectors apart from the tower and from each other for easy connector weatherproofing. • Provides bonding and a safe conductive path from the shield through the bracket to the tower leg when used with appropriate connectors. • Three precision laser-cut 0.640 in. diameter connector mounting holes on the bracket accommodate up to three panel mount or bulkhead style connectors including: DXE-UHF-FDFB-KIT UHF Flanged Double Female Bulkhead mount kit with stainless steel hardware DXE-363-SST Double SO-239 Silver-Plated Bulkhead Mount DXE-1023-2 Type-N Double Female Silver-Plated Bulkhead Mount • Can be used with other Panel Mount Connector Adapters or Bulkhead Mount style lightning protectors.
