Alpha Delta Antenna Hardware Kits
Alpha Delta Antenna Hardware Kits contain one DELTA-C Center Insulator, antenna connection hardware, one model SEP arc-plug static electricity protector that is installed on the back of the DELTA-C, and two model DELTA-CIN End Insulators. These kits are a great way to build wire antennas! The antenna hardware is constructed using Alpha Delta's exclusive Model Delta-C Center Insulators and model CIN End Insulators. They're molded from Deltalloy, an extremely tough and durable plastic specifically blended to withstand sunlight and extreme weather conditions. An SO-239 connector is provided for a direct connection to the PL-259 on your coaxial cable. Or, a ladder-line balanced feedline may be connected directly to the dipole wire ends. If a balanced feedline is used with an antenna tuner in non-resonant applications, the SEP arc-plug must be removed to prevent the "false triggering" of the gas tube. The ALP-SEP arc-plug static electricity protector is a special gas tube component designed to bleed off slow-rising static electricity buildup generated by thunderstorms, high-wind driven snow, sand, or even a harmless looking cloudy day. These static charges have been measured to several thousand volts and can damage or destroy sensitive components in receivers' or transceivers' front-end circuitry. Note: When the "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. For wire antenna kits with a little something extra, order Alpha Delta Antenna Hardware Kits from DX Engineering!

DX Engineering EZ-BUILD® UWA Center-T and End Insulator Kits
DX Engineering EZ-BUILD® UWA Center-T and End Insulator Kits are designed for building wire antennas for high-power operations. This model will mount to any DX Engineering Balun for a balanced and isolated wire antenna, or this insulator kit may be used directly with DX Engineering 300 Ohm Ladder Line for a non-resonant multi-band dipole. All EZ-BUILD® kits include our lightweight, high strength, UV-protected center-T and end insulators. They feature an exclusive serpentine wire grip for insulated DX Engineering antenna wire and our high strength, high power 300 ohm ladder (window) line. Threading the wire or window line through the center and end insulator openings in a serpentine manner creates a grip that is so strong, the wire ends do not need to be looped, wrapped, or soldered. EZ-BUILD® kits allow for fast and easy field adjustments! The DX Engineering EZ-BUILD® Center-T includes a centered top 3/8 in. hole for the attachment of an antenna support rope, and the End Insulators accept up to 5/16 in. antenna support rope. Our EZ-BUILD® kits simplify the construction of your wire antenna, with wire crimp terminals and stainless steel hardware. For a wire antenna, built with a DX Engineering Balun at the feed-point, the coax feedline may be secured with the optional DX Engineering Coax Strain Relief which features an aluminum bracket, neoprene-cushioned P-clamps, and stainless steel hardware. This method supports the feedline without subjecting the balun connector to the strain of the coaxial cable's weight or movement. DX Engineering EZ-BUILD® UWA Center-T and End Insulator Kits let you create any type of wire antennas, including single-band, multi-band, multi-frequency, folded dipole, doublet and inverted-V, off-center fed, Windom, Zepp, long wires, rhombic, V-beam, or loop antennas. EZ-BUILD® UWA Center-T may be used as a strain relief for our 300-ohm ladder line at the ground end or house end of the run, or as the strain relief on the feed end of a vertical wire or long wire antenna. Since soldering is not necessary when building an antenna with this kit, it is perfect for Field Day use, portable operations, or even for the weekend experimenter. However, it is certainly the best choice for your permanent wire antenna system. This UWA-KIT is for building a wire antenna with any DX Engineering Balun or 300 Ohm Ladder Line. Use the EZ-BUILD® UWA213-KIT for the construction of an RG-213 or RG-8U coax fed wire antenna without a balun, that will be operated at high power and high duty cycle modes of operation, such as AM, RTTY, or FM. The UWA8X-KIT will handle low and medium power levels and tolerate low SWR levels. DX Engineering EZ-BUILD® UWA Center-T and End Insulator Kits include: -- One center-T insulator featuring an exclusive no-loop, no-solder wire, multiple wire, or 300 ohm ladder line serpentine grip design, which allow for the rapid field adjustment of wire lengths; the center-T includes a centered top hole for attaching support ropes -- Two end insulators featuring the no-loop, no-solder, serpentine grip design -- Two stainless steel wire connection bolts, nuts, and washers. -- Six crimp ring terminals for antenna and ladder line wire connections -- Additional stainless steel hardware for mounting DX Engineering baluns DX Engineering baluns, antenna wire, 300 ohm ladder line, and support rope are sold separately. Only your imagination is the limit to the practical applications for which this useful insulator system may be used. It is made from a very strong UV resistant poly-resin plastic that can handle the weight of huge wire antennas, and a DX Engineering balun as well as the attached coaxial cables. Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. So, keeping an inexpensive EZ-BUILD® DXE-UWA-KIT on hand for your next wire antenna project is a great idea!

Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes
Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes are available in several sizes and strength ratings, perfect for support of wire antennas, vertical antennas and antenna masts, as well as support of Yagi booms and elements. Mastrant ropes are of the highest quality for strength and are UV-protected for extended longevity. MASTRANT-O is a highly reflective rope (bright orange plus braided reflective tape) based on long-term proven Polyester (Dacron) product line. It is designed for maximum visibility in public places such as Field Day and POTA activities. Like all Mastrant ropes, it is UV stable and resistant to all weather conditions. It has low weight, great abrasion resistance, great durability and is nonconductive (no effect whatsoever on your antenna). Moreover, in contrast to ropes made from aramid fibers (Kevlar, Vectran, Technora, Twaron), it has knot strength about 60 %. Mastrant-P and Mastrant-R Ropes are stronger than other synthetic ropes of the same size, made from proven modern polyester. Mastrant-Q is a new rope made from a blend of polyester and polypropylene, designed specifically for guying applications. It offers an excellent performance-to-price ratio and has a knot strength of approximately 60%. It replaces Mastrant-P in diameters of 6 mm (1/4 in.) and larger. Mastrant-S is a similar polyester/polypropylene rope, distinguished by its highly reflective strands for increased visibility. Mastrant-M is their highest strength rope with the Dyneema® DM20 core, a superior synthetic rope offering high performance at an affordable price. Very high strength, negligible elongation, very low weight, and great abrasion resistance are all attributes that make Mastrant-M the best rope for guying. Larger, stronger sizes of Mastrant-M are used in Europe and other parts of the world for tower guying. Durability and safety are of prime concern to ensure that an antenna installation remains fully operational for a long time. Antennas and guy lines are exposed to changing weather conditions, mechanical strain, UV radiation, humidity, and more. These non-conductive synthetic fibers have all the necessary qualities: high strength, negligible stretch but good flexibility, long life, low moisture collection, fast drying, a minimum bending radius adding the ability to tie knots, good UV radiation resistance, weather durability and resistance to acids and alkali. Conversely, steel guying wires are heavy, difficult to work with, and their strength deteriorates with time due to corrosion and general aging. Electrical conductivity of steel guys is an undesirable feature, as they interact with the antennas and adversely modify radiation patterns. Thanks to recent developments in synthetic materials, both amateur and professional users are changing over to non-conductive guys and ropes. Mastrant offers these products for a variety of applications, from thin support lines used for wire antennas and beams, to rope guys for supporting small and portable masts and vertical antennas. When you need quality rope to install, replace, or modify your antenna systems, consider Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes, now available from DX Engineering.
