Icom IC-7610-32 HF Plus 50 MHz All Mode Transceivers

Icom IC-7610-32 HF Plus 50 MHz All Mode Transceivers feature internal component updates to ensure the highest performance from these true dual-receive transceivers. RF Direct Sampling takes you to the next level with advanced dynamic range performance and true dual receivers in the Icom IC-7610-32 transceiver. Whether it is poor band conditions or battling to pick out a call in a large pile-up, faint signals have always been a challenge for DXers and Contesters around the world. The difference between putting the QSO in the log or having to try another time is the combination of your skill as an operator and the capability of your receiver. One key factor, measured as RMDR, Reciprocal Mixing Dynamic Range, is the receiver's ability to pick out a faint signal in the presence of stronger, adjacent signals. The IC-7610-32 introduces dual RF direct sampling receivers that achieve 110dB RMDR, rivaling the performance of top-of-the-line transceivers. This model transmits on the Amateur bands 160 through 6 meters with 100 watts output on all modes, except 25 watts on AM, with full dual receiver coverage from 30kHz to 60MHz.

ACOM 1000 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers

ACOM 1000 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers are the world's best value in an Amateur HF amplifier. These amps provide you a comfortable 1,000 watts output on all amateur bands from 160 through 6 meters. The plate-load True Resistance Indicator (TRI) is a powerful tuning aid which helps the operator to quickly and precisely match antennas. The auto-operate function (when enabled) maintains the amplifier in OPERATE mode for you, saving on manual operations. Broadband input matches to the transceiver over the entire range of 1.8-54 MHz. ACOM 1000 amplifiers are both user-friendly and look after themselves. They are designed to safely withstand up to 300 watts reflected power, drive spikes of up to 100 milliseconds duration, drive RF "tails" after a PTT or KEY release and the operator's inadvertent tuning errors. They also withstand a "soft" AC line and will deliver more than half power at only 75 percent of nominal mains voltage. They can withstand voltage drops for up to 10 milliseconds, and up to 15 percent higher line-voltage spikes. These details are all important, particularly when used at Field Day, on DXpeditions and other portable operations. Be sure to read the SPECIAL Note, below. An ACOM 4CX800A high-performance ceramic/metal tetrode with plate dissipation of 800 watts is employed. On-board processing provides permanent monitoring and protection of plate and grid voltages and currents, as well as the exhaust temperature. Text messages, 12 different parameters, and strip peak-reading PEP meter are displayed on a dot-matrix, back-lighted LCD. LED indicators are provided for OPERATE, attenuator-on, and ON/OFF conditions. Records of the amplifier internal status are stored in nonvolatile memory for the seven most-recent auto-protection trips. This information is very valuable should diagnostics be needed. The input bypassing and the vacuum antenna relays are very quiet even in CW mode due to their special mounting. This results in virtually noise-free QSK! ACOM-1000 details: * Frequency Coverage: 1.8-54 MHz * Power Output: 1,000W PEP or continuous carrier; for continuous carrier transmissions longer than 15 minutes the external auxiliary fan must be installed * Intermodulation Distortion: Better than 35dB below rated output * Hum and noise: Better than 40dB below rated output * Harmonic Output Suppression: 1.8-29.7 MHz; 50dB below rated output, 50-54 MHz; 66dB below rated output * Input and Output Impedances: Nominal values: 50 Ohm unbalanced output; Input circuit: broadband, VSWR less than 1.3:1, 1.8-54 MHz; Bypass path: VSWR less than 1.1:1, 1.8-54 MHz continuously * RF Gain: 12.5dB typically, frequency response less than 1dB (50-60W drive power for rated output) * Primary Power: 170-264V (200, 210, 220, 230 and 240V nominal taps), 50-60Hz, single phase, 2200VA consumption at rated output. 230 or 240 volts recommended for USA * SPECIAL Note: Order part number AOM-1000 to wire the AC plug and voltage selection yourself; order part number AOM-1000-240 for pre-wired 240 volt operation or part number AOM-1000-120 for pre-wired 120 volt operation * Complies with CE safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements as well as FCC-regulations * Size: 16.6 x 14 x 7.2 in. * Weight 58.5 lbs. * Operating environments: Temperature range 32 to 122 degrees F, Humidity up to 95 percent at 95 F * Altitude: up to 3,000m (10,000 ft.) above sea level without output deterioration Note: For additional information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. ACOM 1010 HF Linear Amplifiers

ACOM 1010 HF Linear Amplifiers cover all bands from 1.8 through 29.7 MHz. They provide over 700 W PEP output (or 500 W continuous-modes) with less than 60 watts of drive and operate without special transceiver signaling; they need only "ground on TX" and the required drive. ACOM's exclusive True Resistance Indicator (TRI); enables faster antenna changes and use over wider frequency ranges. Also, a built-in antenna selector switch with two outputs is included to provide instant choice of antennas. Antenna matching can be achieved in less than 10 seconds and at a quarter of nominal output power, which results in lower risk of interference to other stations and greater safety to the amplifier components. A single ACOM 4CX800A high-performance ceramic-metal tetrode with plate dissipation of 800 watts is used for maximum efficiency. These amplifiers are self-monitoring. They are designed to safely withstand up to 240 watts of reflected power, up to 100 milliseconds of drive spikes (RF "tails" after a PTT or KEY release), and even operator tuning errors. They are also capable of operating at more than half their designed output at only 75 percent of nominal line voltage. Because they can tolerate deep voltage drops and 15 percent line voltage spikes, they are particularly well-suited for use in portable environments, such as Field Day and DXpeditions. Importantly, a variety of system parameters are continuously monitored and available to the operator to assure safe and efficient amplifier operation. Design of the high-voltage power supply eliminates the danger of turn-on transients affecting sensitive devices connected to the same line (mains) circuit. Moreover, the amplifier can be configured to accommodate any of eight nominal line voltages between 100 and 240 V, 50 or 60 Hz. Please see the SPECIAL Note, below. ACOM 1010 specifications: * Frequency Coverage: All amateur bands in the 1.8-29.7MHz frequency range * Power Output: 700 W PEP or 500 W continuous modes. * Intermodulation Distortion: Better than 35 dB below rated output. * Hum and noise: Better than 40 dB below rated output. * Harmonic Output Suppression: Better than 50 dB below rated output. * Input and Output Impedance: Output: 50 Ohm unbalanced, SO-239 connectors; Input circuit: broadband, VSWR less than 1.3:1, 1.8-30 MHz continuously (no tuning, no switching); Bypass path: VSWR less than 1.1:1, 1.8-30 MHz continuously, 200 W maximum * RF Gain: 11dB, frequency response less than 1dB (50 to 70 W drive for rated output) * AC Power: 85-132 V/170-264 V ac (100, 110, 120, 200, 210, 220, 230 & 240 V nominal taps, plus 10 percent to minus 15 percent tolerance), 50-60 Hz, single phase, 1,200 VA * SPECIAL Note: Order part number AOM-1010 to wire your AC plug after removing European plug yourself; order part number AOM-1010-240 for pre-wired 240 volt operation (NEMA 6-15P) or part number AOM-1010-120 for pre-wired 120 volt operation (NEMA 5-15P). * Operating environments: Temperature range; 32 to 122 degrees F, Humidity; up to 95 percent at 95 degrees F, Altitude; up to 10,000 above sea level without output deterioration. * Complies with FCC-regulations as well as CE safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements * Dimensions, (in.) 15.83 W x 12.4 D x 6.5 H * Weight: 39.7 lbs. SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers

SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers are low-noise, band-specific, weatherproof preamplifiers designed for installation near VHF and UHF antennas. Available for the 6 meter, 4 meter (Europe), 2 meter and 70 cm Amateur bands, these preamplifiers are installed in-line, at the antenna. They improve receive performance by amplifying weak signals before feedline loss can reduce them. Powering and Sequencing Most models can be powered remotely through the coaxial cable, and many modern transceivers include a built-in bias-tee for mast-mounted preamplifiers. If the transceiver or transverter system does not provide power, an external bias-tee or remote-feed unit is required. • The DCW-15 and DCW 2004B provide sequencing support. • The DCC-12 does not provide sequencing. • SP series preamplifiers include a built-in RF VOX circuit for safe operations up to 100 watts; for transmit power above 100 watts, PTT control with a sequencer is required. Some models require a direct DC connection (UHF female). • -S series preamplifiers feature lower current signal relays with slightly higher insertion loss. • MHP and MHP-S series preamplifiers versions require sequencer control (see below). Signal Filtering and Switching Built-in helix filters effectively reject out-of-band signals, helping maintain clean receive performance. Real coaxial relays handle transmit/receive switching, resulting in very low insertion loss (except for SP-S series). And each amplifier is carefully calibrated at multiple test stations before packaging. Dual-Band Models Dual-band models include built-in diplexers, so they require only one connection for the multiband antenna and one connection for the station coaxial cable. MHP Series for Demanding Stations The MHP series is designed for demanding operating environments and provides higher gain for weak-signal modes such as Tropo-DX and EME. With maximum transmit power handling of 1500 watts on 6m and 2000 watts on 2m and 70cm, these preamplifiers are well suited for contesting, DX, and EME operation. Important Note for MHP Models Bias-tee power (on the RF coax) is not supported in most MHP Preamplifiers. They must be powered directly using the appropriate cable size for the required distance, and they may only be operated with a correctly wired sequencer, such as the DCW 2004 B Sequence Controller. Transmitting high power without a directly wired sequencer is likely to damage the MHP preamplifier. Housing and Hardware All SSB Electronic Mast-Mount Preamplifiers are supplied in UV-resistant, weatherproof housings with Type N female connectors. Hot-dip galvanized clamps and stainless steel mounting hardware are included. See individual models for band coverage and detailed specifications.

InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams

InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams have short booms with full-size elements or capacity-loaded shortened elements, all with excellent performance, making them very popular internationally. The DXR Series interlaced-element antennas, optimized by G0KSC over a long period of time, achieve the best possible balance between compact size and performance. For the DXR Series Multi-band Yagis, equal attention was paid to a very solid construction and sufficiently small component and packaging size, to keep shipping costs within reasonable limits. Click on any model listed for specific details and specifications. InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams are available exclusively from DX Engineering in North America. Important features of InnovAntennas DXR Series Multi-Band HF Beams: * No traps, matching links, or hairpins * Only one feed line for all bands * Careful selection of materials without regard to cost * Very robust construction with still manageable package size The DXR Series beams use a 1.97 x 1.97 in. (50 x 50 mm) square boom with 0.078 in. (2 mm) wall thickness. A square boom has the advantage that the elements cannot twist in the plane. On the other hand, it is slightly heavier than a round boom of the same stiffness. The DXR Yagis do not require any bracing of the boom. The longest elements are 1.378 in. (35 mm) diameter in the middle and taper relatively quickly to achieve a good compromise between weight and strength. This construction also helps to avoid constant vibration even in light winds. With these multi-band Yagis, care has been taken to ensure that there are never more than the elements of three bands nested within each other. This is because each additional element for one band can cause interference on another band. This negative effect was avoided by careful manual optimization. The result is the best possible matching over a wider band range than other antenna designs. In most cases, no tuner is necessary; the SWR minimum can be precisely set by adjusting the element lengths. Due to the robust construction and the absence of moving or electrically active components such as coils, traps, hairpins, etc., an InnovAntennas DXR beam is maintenance-free for many years. The insulators are UV-resistant and designed for a wide temperature range. The mounting hardware uses sea-water resistant stainless steel and the aluminum is type T6 6066/6082, which is also used in aviation. It is nice not to have to climb the mast every year to maintain the antenna. The DXR Series Multiband beams are designed to require only one feed line. This makes installation on a mast with a rotor very easy. And the use of modern SDR transceivers, which allow the observation of several bands at the same time, becomes really useful. The one feed line is connected directly to the solid distribution rails of the fed elements. By avoiding baluns, matching elements, traps, or hairpins for tuning, transmit power is only limited by the coaxial cable and connectors. Note: Front-to-back ratio (F/B) and SWR bandwidth data for the DXR Series will be added as it becomes available. Many models of the DXR Series are available as a "super-compact" version, on which the longest elements have been shortened with capacity hats, thus reducing their turning radius considerably. The installation of these impressive antennas is possible even where space is limited.

InnovAntennas 10 Element HF Band Optimized Log Periodic Antenna

InnovAntennas 10 Element HF Band Optimized Log Periodic Antenna is a super wideband, high performance beam that covers the frequency range of 14 to 30 MHz. The advantage of this antenna type is the extreme broadband performance with an even gain curve without dips. This makes this antenna suitable not only for amateur radio, but also for commercial services and for demanding SWLs. Through careful calculations and practical optimization, the spacing and lengths of the elements have been chosen to favor the amateur radio bands 20/17/15/12 and 10 meters, creating the Band Optimized Log Periodic Antenna, hence the name "BOLPA". Hundreds of hours optimizing both SWR and performance within the Amateur bands resulted in exceptional mono-band style performance for InnovAntennas BOLPA-10. This antenna provides a uniform gain of approximately 7 dBi over the entire frequency range and a front-to-back ratio over 20 dB on all but 12 meters with an SWR of mostly better than 1.5:1. The boom length of 25.3 ft. (7.7m) is relatively short for an antenna of this type. Since only one 50 ohm feed line is necessary, this broadband antenna is especially well suited for use with modern SDR transceivers that are able to receive on several HF bands simultaneously. American Beauty Soldering Tool Parts and Components

If American Beauty's soldering tools were of typical quality, then they wouldn't offer an extensive list of soldering tool parts and components. In fact, their tools are designed to withstand the stress of production-line usage in the most difficult and rigorous industrial environments. However, as those familiar with soldering are well aware, soldering tools require regular maintenance and the occasional replacement of consumable parts. Historically, soldering-tool manufacturers had whole departments set up to service tools for their customers. As budgets tightened and these departments were eliminated, tools that were meant to last a decade or more were tossed in the trash, just like the cheap imports. American Beauty soldering tools were designed from the beginning to be serviceable! Their heating elements, connectors, handles, cord sets, foot switches, electrodes, and many other kinds of parts are replaceable. American Beauty even offers Maintenance kits and instructions on how to care for, and extend the life of, their tools! To save money on tools, you need to buy a quality tool that's right for the job...as well as serviceable. American Beauty soldering tool parts and components are now available from DX Engineering and will provide the means for you to keep your soldering tools working (and in great shape) for a long, long time!

ACOM 700S Solid State 1.8-54 MHz Linear Amplifiers

ACOM 700S Solid State 1.8-54 MHz Linear Amplifiers are state-of-the art amplifiers that cover all amateur bands from 160 through 6 Meters. These amps provide 700 W output power (PEP SSB or CW modes). Working parameters of the amplifier are indicated on a multi-function, high-resolution 5 inch color display. Amplifier control is accomplished with only six buttons on the front panel or directly by CAT interface from the transceiver or remotely by RS232 interface. ACOM 700S amplifiers are compatible with all transceiver models available on the market. The broadband input matches to the transceiver with low SWR over the entire range of 1.8-54 MHz. Full output operation only requires a maximum of 40 watts drive and the typical "ground on transmit" (PTT) keying with no special signals required. The overall operation of ACOM 700S amplifiers is extremely simplified. Screen menus are intuitive and easy to follow and no special skill is required from the operator when changing frequency bands. The amplifier monitors the frequency of the input signal through the built-in frequency counter and automatically switches bands. A band data or CAT interface connection from the transceiver is NOT required for automatic band changing. These amplifiers take care of themselves during operation, due to the continuously-working protection circuits in all modes. The operator can digitally monitor more than 10 parameters concerning the working conditions of the amplifier. Detailed data (55 parameters) about each of the last 28 hard-fault protection trips is stored in the amplifier's nonvolatile memory.
