Palstar CW50A Electronic Keyers
Palstar CW50A Electronic Keyers may be used with any straight key, semi-automatic "bug" keys, single lever paddles, and Iambic dual lever "squeeze" paddles. Why would you use an electronic, microprocessor-based keyer with a straight key or "bug"? Because the key closure and key opening are debounced. This "cleaning up of the input" is especially useful when using a bug type semi-automatic or a straight key with modern, high transfer speed, full break-in rigs. A convenient front panel stereo phone jack is ready for your paddle. Plus, a separate mono phone jack on the rear panel for your straight key or "BUG" allows two different types of CW keys to be connected at the same time! Palstar CW50A Electronic Keyers feature a front panel speed control that is continuously adjustable over the range of 10 to 40 WPM, and is crystal controlled for high accuracy over the full voltage and temperature range. Your choice of Mode A or Mode B Iambic keying is just a rear panel switch away. A built-in sidetone generator and speaker with convenient front panel volume and pitch controls make it easy to monitor your sending. Your keyer may also serve as a practice unit for training purposes. Character spacing is rear panel adjustable to provide compensation for transmitters which distort the keying wave shape. Dash weight is rear panel adjustable to provide compensation for equipment that distorts the dash to space ratio. Separate rear panel outputs for grid block or cathode keying are available, so CW50A keyers work with all tube and solid-state rigs and are powered by either an internal 9V battery or 120V AC adapter (sold separately). The front panel and top cover are finished with a durable powder coating. All needed plugs are included. CW50A Electronic Keyers have a reed relay mute circuit, which allows the keyers to be used with the Palstar R30A Shortwave Receiver or other receiver when using a separate transmitter. CW50A keyers are even programmable to allow for full or semi break-in when used with a separate transmitter/receiver combo. If a separate receiver is not used, the reed relay becomes available as an additional keying output and is jumper-selectable to provide either a contact closure to ground or a +12Vdc output. Here are a few more details about Palstar CW50A Electronic Keyers: -- Sidetone Pitch: 500 - 1,000 Hz, front panel adjustable -- Switch selected Mode A or Mode B Iambic keying -- Keying Output: positive, negative, and high-speed reed relay -- Operating Current: 10-50mA, depending on sidetone level Note: For additional product information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. Palstar CW50A Electronic Keyers may be the most versatile keyers on the market today! Order yours from DX Engineering now!

Begali Simplex Iambic Keys
Begali Simplex Iambic Keys are a popular starting point for many CW enthusiasts. Here are a couple of stylish versions among several popular "economy" Begali models that feature a heavy, 3 pound (1.4 kg) base. However, the Simplex Iambic bases are finished in a striking dark palladium plating, or a gorgeous gold plating, with dual black arms and gold plated components. These are among the few Begali keys that use long springs for the return force. Like their other keys, the Simplex is manufactured using CNC machinery for absolute accuracy and micro-threaded screws facilitate precise spring and contact adjustments. The paddle arms are held in place by four ball bearings imbedded in the base. The ball bearings are made of a light-weight alloy that provide an extremely low moving mass which allows exceptional responsiveness at high speeds, especially when the paddle arms are set for a light touch. The contacts of the Simplex Iambic are made from solid sterling silver or 999 silver, not silver-plated. With its uniquely shaped and finished base and red plastic finger pieces the Simplex Iambic is key is not only a precision instrument for the CW operator – it is also a piece of art that you will display proudly at your station.

Vibroplex VIBROCUBE Iambic Keyer Paddles
Vibroplex VIBROCUBE Iambic Keyer Paddles are the latest offering from Scott Robbins, W4PA, the owner of Vibroplex. Again and again he heard from hams how we don't like our small, lightweight CW paddles sliding around on the operating table when in use. When he took over Vibroplex in 2009, he vowed to create a large paddle that would stay in place on the desk and accommodate his large hand comfortably. The result of many hours of conversations with the ham community is VIBROCUBE. VIBROCUBE Keyer Paddles register just under 6 pounds on the scale! Their bases are USA-forged cold rolled steel and their upper components are zinc, steel and brass. Their finger pieces are hard red acrylic. Instead of magnetic tensioning, they use the tried and true spring loaded tensioning method, which provides a greater range of tension settings than magnets allow. Hefty, but not oversized, their bases measure 3-1/2 in. square and 1-1/2 in. high, and with their rubber feet installed VIBROCUBE keyers have an overall height of 4-1/4 in. Their oversize acrylic finger pieces are 2-1/8 in. at their tallest point. Large paddles accommodate a large hand easily and take minimal hand movement to use. These are not fragile, delicate devices. VIBROCUBE keyer paddles are TOUGH. All parts except the finger pieces and the two decorative top jewels are metal. The Standard bases, mainframes, and lever bars are electrostatic powdercoated in a wrinkle black finish. It's difficult to chip or scratch this paint. Deluxe VIBROCUBE keyer paddles are all chrome. Adjustment components are chromed brass and the contact points are coin-grade silver. Four non-skid rubber feet are affixed to the bottom for extra non-movement stability. VIBROCUBE keyer paddles are made and all assembly is done in our facility in Knoxville, TN. There are three affordable VIBROCUBE versions available. The Standard version uses our standard pivoting trunion pins and screws and is available in black finish. The Standard Upgraded version is built exactly like the Standard, except the pivoting trunion pins are rounded off and the upper and lower trunion screws have an industrial jewel installed. The Deluxe version is a work of art in all-chrome, also with the jeweled movements installed. Order one of the new Vibroplex VIBROCUBE Iambic Keyer Paddles for your shack today, from DX Engineering.

Long Island CW Club Good Vibrations Morse Code (CW) Haptic Assist Device
The Long Island CW Club (LICW) Good Vibrations Morse Code (CW) Haptic Assist Device is an innovative accessory designed to help hearing-impaired operators experience and decode Morse code through vibration and visual feedback. Developed through the dedication and hard work of a Long Island CW Club committee, the original haptic prototype was further refined and improved by Bob WO6W, resulting in a patented and highly effective Morse code assist device. Originally created to support LICW members with hearing challenges, the Good Vibrations device is now available to the general Amateur Radio community. While specifically designed for hearing-impaired operators, this unique learning tool can also benefit anyone interested in improving their CW proficiency. By engaging the sense of touch in addition to sight and hearing, users can develop alternative sensory pathways that may enhance Morse code recognition and accelerate the learning process. The additional tactile and visual feedback can help reinforce character recognition, improve copy accuracy, and make it easier to discern weak or challenging signals during everyday CW operation.
