DX Engineering Insulator and Bent Pin Shackles Kits

DX Engineering Insulator and Bent Pin Shackle Kits are used for guy line attachment to towers for Amateur Radio and commercial applications. Insulated attachments prevent RF noise that can be created by Two kits are offered that include three Insulators of either size and three Bent Pin Shackles. The included porcelain guy strain insulators are commonly known in ham radio tower work as the "502" or the "504" so that is how these insulators are numbered. They have the mechanical strength of 10,000 pounds and 12,000 pounds, respectively. Each accepts big grip dead ends for either metallic or non-metallic guy lines. Also known as a clevis in the power industry, Bent Pin Shackles are specially designed with a removable bent bolt and locking nut to go through the outer hole of the matching insulator. Forged from 1/2 in. steel and hot dip galvanized, these shackles have a minimum ultimate strength of over 12,000 lbs. and have a rounded end that is large enough to be used around a tower leg. However, the assembly of the guy line and these insulated attachments are typically connected to a tower ear or guy bracket with a screw pin shackle used as a link. Order one DX Engineering Insulator and Bent Pin Shackle Kit for each level of guying. For those who already have insulators, Bent Pin Shackles are also available without insulators, in a set of three. Look to DX Engineering for the high quality and unique tower hardware that you need.

ROHN Guy Bracket Assemblies

Keep your tower still with one of these ROHN Guy Bracket Assemblies. Guy bracket assemblies are used to properly attach guy lines and to distribute the forces correctly. They prevent the placement of excessive guying forces onto individual tower legs. Multiple guy brackets are needed at different levels on taller towers. These bracket assemblies are sized to fit correctly around all three of the tower legs for the proper attachment of guy wires in each ROHN tower series. ROHN Guy Bracket Assemblies are built from quality steel and are galvanized, the same as the towers, and install in minutes with no modifications or disassembly of the tower required. ROHN Flat Roof Mounts

ROHN Flat Roof Mounts bolt directly to your flat roof surface to support a guyed ROHN 25G or 45G tower. The flat roof location must be water-tight and reinforced to support tower/antenna weight. These bases require the tower to be guyed or bracketed and cannot be used as a self-supporting base plate. These tower bases use double-bolted attachment joints, which are proven to be the best method of joining tower sections for sturdiness and dependability. The associated tower can be used in guyed or bracketed configurations. Roof mounted tower options may limit potential height considerably by restricted guy line lengths and anchoring options. To mount your ROHN 25G or 45G Series tower to a flat roof, use one of these ROHN Flat Roof Mounts from DX Engineering.

ROHN Torque Bars

ROHN Torque Bars are accessory items for Guy Bracket Assemblies, which mount in place of the Guy Bracket rings. These ROHN torque bars provide greater guy line control of tower twisting that may be caused by larger antenna wind loading. ROHN torque bars are recommended for guy bracket assemblies where the aim of beam antennas needs to be maintained by limiting tower twisting.
