DX Engineering 400MAX Low-Loss 50-ohm Bulk Coaxial Cable

DX Engineering 400MAX is premium, low-loss, 50-ohm bulk cable with a special Type III-A, UV-resistant polyethylene jacket that is waterproof; ideal for outdoor applications, particularly direct-bury. With its larger 10 AWG stranded copper center conductor, 400MAX is specially suited for high-power amateur stations, providing a lower loss solution for long cable runs at any legal power level. The high-quality construction continues with a gas-injected foam polyethylene dielectric, followed by the highest level of shielding with bonded aluminum tape covered by a tinned copper shield braid. Coaxial cables with foil-braid dual shielding or foam dielectric are optimized for stationary simplex antenna applications across HF, VHF and UHF. DXE-400MAX is not recommended for use in in a VHF/UHF duplex repeater applications or for a beam antenna rotator loop. DX Engineering 400MAX Low-Loss 50-ohm Bulk Coaxial Cable accepts standard PL-259 or N connectors. Note: For additional product information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab.

DX Engineering 400MAX Type-N to PL-259 Low-Loss 50-ohm Coaxial Adapter Cable Assemblies

What if two RF devices – the radio, switch, meter, lightning protector, choke, balun or the antenna – have opposite female connectors, one type-N and the other SO-239? This dilemma is solved with the uniquely helpful DX Engineering 400MAX Type-N to PL-259 Low-Loss 50-ohm Coaxial Adapter Cable Assemblies, the perfect alternative to questionable straight adapters. Made for any job (HF, VHF and UHF) and especially for outdoors, one top-quality silver plated Type-N male connector and one patented* Next Generation PL-259 (UHF male) connector terminates our premium, low-loss 400MAX coaxial cable to create these very useful Adapter Cable Assemblies. DX Engineering 400MAX coax features a waterproof jacket made with a highly UV-resistant, Type III-A polyethylene which is ideal for all outdoor feedline applications, including direct-bury installations. With a large 10 AWG stranded copper center conductor, 400MAX NX Series low-loss assemblies are perfectly suited for short or long cable runs and low or high-power level operations. Our 400MAX coaxial cable also features modern, gas-injected foam polyethylene dielectric that cannot absorb moisture and has complete shielding with 100 percent coverage bonded aluminum tape covered by minimum 95-percent coverage tinned copper braid. Regarded in the industry as a top quality low-loss feedline, DX Engineering 400MAX Coaxial Cable is custom made to provide the highest performance and excellent longevity. Coaxial cables with foil-braid dual shielding or foam dielectric are optimized for stationary simplex antenna applications across HF, VHF and UHF. Note: DXE-400MAX is not recommended for use in repeater applications, VHF/UHF duplex, or for a beam antenna rotator loop. DX Engineering 400MAX PL-259 NX Series Coaxial Adapter Cable Assemblies are terminated at one end with the N-Type male connector and the other end with our custom-designed DX Engineering PL-259 (UHF male) connector. Both silver plated connectors feature machine-crimped shields with 360 degrees of complete mechanical and electrical contact for maximum reliability. PL-259 center pins are hand-soldered, and Type-N center pins are machine-crimped by trained assembly techs to assure a proper connection. Next Generation PL-259 connectors feature: * Full diameter, full-length soldered center pins that snugly fit even worn SO-239s * Spacious center pin inside diameter that accepts large conductors and allows generous solder flow * Deep, double-knurled threaded shells for secure finger tightening These high-quality PL-259s have all silver-plated brass shells and bodies with center pins securely mounted in PTFE dielectric for exceptional RF characteristics and power handling. Every assembly is continuity and Hi-Pot tested and then heat-shrink weather-sealed for the ultimate service longevity. You won't find this level of cable assembly quality anywhere else! 400MAX Type-N to PL-259 Low-Loss 50-ohm Coaxial Adapter Cable Assemblies are available in selected lengths and at any length in the Custom Cable Builder, only from DX Engineering! *U.S. Patent D745849

Georgia Copper Flexible Copper Grounding Straps

Georgia Copper Flexible Copper Straps are solid and bendable metal straps that are used to build low-inductance, high performance grounding systems. The use of these copper straps provides the best grounding systems because they have greater surface area and lower inductance per foot than the equivalent cross-section of wire. Hams find all sorts of uses for copper straps, for superior antenna feedpoint connections as well as creating a bus for grounding. Equipment racks may be bonded to ground using copper straps. Don't rely on the rack frame to provide bonding. Tie all of the power supplies, tuners, racked amplifiers, and other equipment together with low-resistance copper. Especially useful for any application outdoors and for use directly in or near soils, flexible solid copper straps will maintain a proper, low-impedance connection long after small-gauge wires and tinned copper braids have weathered and disintegrated. Copper straps are specified by communications system designers and are used extensively for above-ground and underground connections to radiators, tower and ground rods for commercial equipment rooms, sheds, and tower installations. Professional communications engineers know the value of systems that employ copper straps. They are available in various widths and at a thickness to suite your application. If you are using wire or braid at feedpoint connections or to provide grounding, equipment bonding or other critical connections for your Amateur Radio station, consider upgrading to long-lasting and solid Georgia Copper Flexible Copper Straps from DX Engineering!
