WiMo Aluminum Telescoping Masts
WiMo Aluminum Telescoping Masts are convenient for many tasks. Made of a strong yet lightweight weather-resistant alloy, these metric-sized masts are primarily intended for temporary and portable use. They may also be used for long-term installations with the WiMo WMO-23050 Metal Guy Ring Kit. The versatile masts have a range of uses, including vertical antenna construction, installation of weather stations, and mounting of a security camera. They're made of slotted aluminum tubing that can be extended to the desired length. Mast models are available with extended lengths of 5 to 16 meters (16.4 to 52.5 ft.). Each section can be locked solidly in place with the attached clamps. Load capacity of the masts is determined by the clamping length and height; depending on the diameter, weights up to 4 kg (8.818 lbs.) or more are possible. The maximum extension length of each section is limited by a marking ring at approximately 20cm (7.874 in.) above the bottom of the tube. The sizes of the telescoping aluminum tubing are in 5mm (0.197 in.) increments, with a nominal wall thickness of 2mm (0.079 in.).

Chameleon Antenna Portable Resonant Vertical Antennas 2.0 is a lightweight rugged antenna designed for quick deployment and recovery in the field. As this antenna is modular it can be combined with components of the popular Chameleon MPAS antenna system. The Chameleon PRV 2.0 system comes with a 58-inch telescoping stainless steel whip, a single extension 27-inch aluminum mast, a puck hub for attaching the included four 12.5 foot long radial wires that are on wire winders, tent stakes, a blank adapter (for connecting the coax to the antenna) a 12 foot long coax cable made of RG-58 with an integrated RF choke, a set of band keys (to help with a starting point for tuning the antenna when setup. Several mounting options are available: a Ground Spike mount, jaw mount, carbon fiber mini tripod or no mount at all. If you use a camera tripod adaptor, you can use a heavy-duty camera tripod, monopod or a trekking pole as a support for this antenna. The MCC-PRV covers the 40 through 6-meter bands with the components included in the MCC-PRV in the following configurations: base loaded vertical, center loaded vertical and a vertical dipole for 6 meters. Once the antenna is set up, the included band keys help to get the coil set in an area that is close to the resonance point for the band you're set up for. As a resonant antenna, no tuner is required. A single operator can set up and tune the MCC-PRV-2 in about 10 minutes. The whole package, including the tactical storage bag, weighs a modest 3 pounds, 11 ounces. The storage bag has compartments for all the components of the MCC-PRV-2 and works to keep things organized. The modular approach to the MCC-PRV-2 allows for multiple antenna configurations depending on antenna height, efficiency and footprint available where necessary. Two different DX Engineering Antenna Boom Tubing Kits can be used to replace a 3-in. boom of either 24 ft. or 48 ft. in length. Also, both extra heavy -duty aluminum tubing boom kits are the perfect choice to provide the backbone for the Yagi project of your dreams! The DXE-ABT3-24R supplies two 24 ft. pieces of heavy-wall aluminum tubing; one 3-in. OD tube and one 2.715 in. OD piece that telescopes inside the larger tube to provide superior reinforcement. The DXE-ABT3-48 provides three pieces of heavy-wall tubing in total; two 24 ft. pieces of 3-in. tubing and a 24 ft. long 2.715 in. diameter splice insert that fits 12 ft. inside each larger tube for reinforcement, to create a truly exceptional 48 ft. boom.
