Bushcomm FD-600 Wideband Folded Dipoles
These Bushcomm FD-600 Wideband Folded Dipoles are compact, two-wire folded dipole alternatives to our best-selling model; the BBA-100 three-wire broad-band antenna. The FD-600 Folded Dipole covers the frequency range of 2-30 MHz, and has a rated power input of 600 watts PEP. Best of all, as with the majority of our antennas, no tuner is required. The Folded Dipole is a multi-wire antenna that is relatively lightweight. By having only two stainless steel wires compared to the BBA-100's three wires, it also has less wind loading! These antennas sport an SWR of better than 2.5:1 (typically 1.5-1.6:1) from 2 to 30 MHz! Special Features of the FD-600: * No Tuner Required * UV Resistant Spacer Rods * UV Resistant Balun/Load Boxes * Stainless Steel Wire & Fittings Electrical Characteristics: * Frequency Range: 2-30MHz * Input Impedance: 50 Ohms * Power Input: 600W PEP (voice) / 250W Continuous and Data Modes * Input Connector: SO-239 UHF-type connection Mechanical Characteristics: * Shipping Weight: 5kg, (11 lbs.) * Antenna Length: 27m, (88.58 ft.) * Mast Spacing: 29m (95.15 ft.) Bushcomm BBA-100DXE Multi-Wire Broadband Dipole Antennas
When we think of Australia, many of us think of The Outback⦠that expansive and desolate area that is still open wilderness. If you have the kind of space available there, you will have no problem erecting a very-long wire antenna system. Here in North America, so many of us live on a 70 by 120 ft. lot, dictated by urban development, that the longer antennas are problematic at best. To meet the need for a wideband dipole that would fit many customers' lots having no room for a full-size 80 meter antenna 132 feet long, Bushcomm of Australia and DX Engineering offer a solution that is elegant, very high quality, and offers a wideband multi-wire 80 through 10 meter antenna of smaller physical size. BBA-100DXE Multi-Wire Broadband Dipole Antennas are highly efficient and engineered to provide tuner-free operation on all bands 80 through 10 meters. This Bushcomm antenna model is a DX Engineering exclusive offered ONLY through DX Engineering! Just note the "DXE" in the part number! Bushcomm BBA-100DXE antennas offer the flexibility to suit a wide range of installation situations - between a tower and mast, in an inverted "V" configuration, or even between a tree and the shed out back. BBA-100DXE antennas make "fitting it in the available space" just a bit easier. And all BBA Series antennas include a purpose-designed balun. Light yet sturdy construction ensures low total mass and minimal wind loading. Only the highest quality materials are used throughout; such as stainless steel wire and fittings and UV resistant fiberglass rods. All wire assembly is completed, including crimped wire loops. Quality materials and assembly produce an antenna that will survive the rigors of the outdoors for many years to come. And don't be afraid to push the 130 Watt continuous power limit. These antennas are built robustly and are fully Digital Modes and RTTY ready! Although more compact than other BBA Series antennas, these 80 through 10 meter dipoles will fit within smaller property boundaries and still yield exceptional performance. Electrical characteristics: * Frequency Range 3.5 to 30MHz, continuous coverage * Power Rating: 130W CW, data, RTTY; 250W PEP voice * Nominal Input Impedance 50 Ohm * Wideband VSWR (typical, no tuner necessary) better than 2:1 * Input connector: UHF Female (SO-239) * Operationally equal to Bushcomm's BBA-100C Mechanical characteristics: * Molded weatherproof balun included * Three parallel wideband radiating elements of 2mm Stainless Steel (G304) * Antenna Length 27 meters (88.5 ft.) * Footprint in inverted "V" configuration 20 meters or 66.62 ft. * Wind Rating 210 km/hr. (130 mph) * Ice loading 0.6 cm (0.25 in.), with reduced wind loading * Operating Temperature -30 degrees C to 50 C (-22 to 122 F) * Storage Temperature -40 degrees C to 85 C (-40 to 185 F) * Shipping Weight: Approximately 4kg (8.8 lbs.) Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. These dipoles are of three-wire parallel construction. The parallel radiators work together to increase the apparent electrical diameter of the antenna. Although they visually harken back to the days of Marconi and the great Gilded Age Ocean Liners, they are modern in every way. For an ultimate broadband dipole, remember these Bushcomm BBA-100DXE Multi-Wire Broadband Dipole Antennas, exclusively from DX Engineering!

Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes
Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes are available in several sizes and strength ratings, perfect for support of wire antennas, vertical antennas and antenna masts, as well as support of Yagi booms and elements. Mastrant ropes are of the highest quality for strength and are UV-protected for extended longevity. MASTRANT-O is a highly reflective rope (bright orange plus braided reflective tape) based on long-term proven Polyester (Dacron) product line. It is designed for maximum visibility in public places such as Field Day and POTA activities. Like all Mastrant ropes, it is UV stable and resistant to all weather conditions. It has low weight, great abrasion resistance, great durability and is nonconductive (no effect whatsoever on your antenna). Moreover, in contrast to ropes made from aramid fibers (Kevlar, Vectran, Technora, Twaron), it has knot strength about 60 %. Mastrant-P and Mastrant-R Ropes are stronger than other synthetic ropes of the same size, made from proven modern polyester. Mastrant-Q is a new rope made from a blend of polyester and polypropylene, designed specifically for guying applications. It offers an excellent performance-to-price ratio and has a knot strength of approximately 60%. It replaces Mastrant-P in diameters of 6 mm (1/4 in.) and larger. Mastrant-S is a similar polyester/polypropylene rope, distinguished by its highly reflective strands for increased visibility. Mastrant-M is their highest strength rope with the Dyneema® DM20 core, a superior synthetic rope offering high performance at an affordable price. Very high strength, negligible elongation, very low weight, and great abrasion resistance are all attributes that make Mastrant-M the best rope for guying. Larger, stronger sizes of Mastrant-M are used in Europe and other parts of the world for tower guying. Durability and safety are of prime concern to ensure that an antenna installation remains fully operational for a long time. Antennas and guy lines are exposed to changing weather conditions, mechanical strain, UV radiation, humidity, and more. These non-conductive synthetic fibers have all the necessary qualities: high strength, negligible stretch but good flexibility, long life, low moisture collection, fast drying, a minimum bending radius adding the ability to tie knots, good UV radiation resistance, weather durability and resistance to acids and alkali. Conversely, steel guying wires are heavy, difficult to work with, and their strength deteriorates with time due to corrosion and general aging. Electrical conductivity of steel guys is an undesirable feature, as they interact with the antennas and adversely modify radiation patterns. Thanks to recent developments in synthetic materials, both amateur and professional users are changing over to non-conductive guys and ropes. Mastrant offers these products for a variety of applications, from thin support lines used for wire antennas and beams, to rope guys for supporting small and portable masts and vertical antennas. When you need quality rope to install, replace, or modify your antenna systems, consider Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes, now available from DX Engineering.
