DX Engineering DVA Dual Vertical Array Systems

DX Engineering DVA Dual Vertical Array Systems are advanced phasing systems that have set a new standard for array performance with two ground-mounted verticals. Dual Vertical Array Systems include a compact DVA Phasing Relay Unit made specifically for an individual HF band and an EC-DVA Directional Control Console. DX Engineering Dual Vertical Arrays produce two opposite enhanced End-Fire Cardioid patterns and one Broadside-Omni pattern. Heavy-duty components handle over 2 kW continuous RF power for enhanced performance at low SWR over a wide bandwidth. The Dual Vertical Array end-fire directional patterns achieve a real front-to-back over 20 dB with typical array forward gain up to 3 dB over a single vertical. The greatest advantage of a Dual Vertical Array is that a tower and rotator are not required, as with a Yagi antenna. Especially for 160, 80, and 40, and even on the other HF bands, a Dual Vertical Array is mechanically simpler and safer. Here is a financially practical directional antenna that is much easier to install! These are great directional antenna systems for temporary and Field Day operation, as well as for permanent builds, because they ARE so much easier to install than a beam! If you are dissatisfied with your present system, are ready for an upgrade, or just need to get out of the tower game, the DX Engineering DVA is your answer! Refurbish an existing antenna system, equip your temporary array, or build a new phased array with a DVA. It's all on the ground, safe and simple: DX Engineering Dual Vertical Arrays offer a better way to enjoy a high-performance mono-band directional antenna. Coaxial Dynamics RF Peak Reading Wattmeters

Would you like commercial-grade quality and peak-power measuring capability on a budget? When you need measurements in the 2 to 2300 MHz frequency range and from 100 mW to 10 kW, you need to get your hands on one of these Coaxial Dynamics RF Peak Reading Wattmeters! Combined with the appropriate element, Coaxial Dynamics RF wattmeters are very easy to use. Just connect the wattmeter between the RF power source and antenna or dummy load then rotate the element to select the forward or reflected direction. The RF power is displayed directly on the large, 4-1/2 in. triple-scale mirrored meter. Peak reading meters are designed to measure RF power in peak envelope power (PEP) such as SSB (single-sideband), DSB (double-sideband) and AM (amplitude modulation) signals. Interchangeable standard plug-in elements, such as those used with Coaxial Dynamics averaging meters, work with these peak-reading meters. To complement each application and specific requirement, Plug-In Elements are selected separately by power and frequency ranges. Similar in appearance and operation to their standard wattmeters, these devices convert from average reading to peak reading with the flip of a switch! This is accomplished by inserting a peak-reading amplifier between the element and the meter. With peak reading circuitry that operates on one 9 volt replaceable alkaline transistor battery (supplied), normal, portable usage is possible for at least 90 days or the life of the battery. Versatile and strong, these wattmeters are protected by a rugged, virtually indestructible shock-proof housing. Coaxial Dynamics wattmeters employ a rugged shock mounted meter for dependable readings. Along with superior taut band meter technology, they provide consistently accurate readings that satisfy both the US Navy and Canadian standards for shock and vibration. This is your assurance of complete and dependable accuracy! Self-contained and requiring no line power in either Peak or Average mode, these RF wattmeters are the right choice for portability and functionality. Note: For additional product information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. Coaxial Dynamics RF Peak Reading Directional Wattmeters are ideal for professional and Amateur Radio measurements and offer commercial quality, accuracy and flexibility that everyone can afford. Bushcomm BBA-100DXE Multi-Wire Broadband Dipole Antennas

When we think of Australia, many of us think of The Outback… that expansive and desolate area that is still open wilderness. If you have the kind of space available there, you will have no problem erecting a very-long wire antenna system. Here in North America, so many of us live on a 70 by 120 ft. lot, dictated by urban development, that the longer antennas are problematic at best. To meet the need for a wideband dipole that would fit many customers' lots having no room for a full-size 80 meter antenna 132 feet long, Bushcomm of Australia and DX Engineering offer a solution that is elegant, very high quality, and offers a wideband multi-wire 80 through 10 meter antenna of smaller physical size. BBA-100DXE Multi-Wire Broadband Dipole Antennas are highly efficient and engineered to provide tuner-free operation on all bands 80 through 10 meters. This Bushcomm antenna model is a DX Engineering exclusive offered ONLY through DX Engineering! Just note the "DXE" in the part number! Bushcomm BBA-100DXE antennas offer the flexibility to suit a wide range of installation situations - between a tower and mast, in an inverted "V" configuration, or even between a tree and the shed out back. BBA-100DXE antennas make "fitting it in the available space" just a bit easier. And all BBA Series antennas include a purpose-designed balun. Light yet sturdy construction ensures low total mass and minimal wind loading. Only the highest quality materials are used throughout; such as stainless steel wire and fittings and UV resistant fiberglass rods. All wire assembly is completed, including crimped wire loops. Quality materials and assembly produce an antenna that will survive the rigors of the outdoors for many years to come. And don't be afraid to push the 130 Watt continuous power limit. These antennas are built robustly and are fully Digital Modes and RTTY ready! Although more compact than other BBA Series antennas, these 80 through 10 meter dipoles will fit within smaller property boundaries and still yield exceptional performance. Electrical characteristics: * Frequency Range 3.5 to 30MHz, continuous coverage * Power Rating: 130W CW, data, RTTY; 250W PEP voice * Nominal Input Impedance 50 Ohm * Wideband VSWR (typical, no tuner necessary) better than 2:1 * Input connector: UHF Female (SO-239) * Operationally equal to Bushcomm's BBA-100C Mechanical characteristics: * Molded weatherproof balun included * Three parallel wideband radiating elements of 2mm Stainless Steel (G304) * Antenna Length 27 meters (88.5 ft.) * Footprint in inverted "V" configuration 20 meters or 66.62 ft. * Wind Rating 210 km/hr. (130 mph) * Ice loading 0.6 cm (0.25 in.), with reduced wind loading * Operating Temperature -30 degrees C to 50 C (-22 to 122 F) * Storage Temperature -40 degrees C to 85 C (-40 to 185 F) * Shipping Weight: Approximately 4kg (8.8 lbs.) Note: Whenever the DX Engineering "Documentation" tab is available, please look at the associated files for additional product information. These dipoles are of three-wire parallel construction. The parallel radiators work together to increase the apparent electrical diameter of the antenna. Although they visually harken back to the days of Marconi and the great Gilded Age Ocean Liners, they are modern in every way. For an ultimate broadband dipole, remember these Bushcomm BBA-100DXE Multi-Wire Broadband Dipole Antennas, exclusively from DX Engineering!

Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes

Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes are available in several sizes and strength ratings, perfect for support of wire antennas, vertical antennas and antenna masts, as well as support of Yagi booms and elements. Mastrant ropes are of the highest quality for strength and are UV-protected for extended longevity. MASTRANT-O is a highly reflective rope (bright orange plus braided reflective tape) based on long-term proven Polyester (Dacron) product line. It is designed for maximum visibility in public places such as Field Day and POTA activities. Like all Mastrant ropes, it is UV stable and resistant to all weather conditions. It has low weight, great abrasion resistance, great durability and is nonconductive (no effect whatsoever on your antenna). Moreover, in contrast to ropes made from aramid fibers (Kevlar, Vectran, Technora, Twaron), it has knot strength about 60 %. Mastrant-P and Mastrant-R Ropes are stronger than other synthetic ropes of the same size, made from proven modern polyester. Mastrant-Q is a new rope made from a blend of polyester and polypropylene, designed specifically for guying applications. It offers an excellent performance-to-price ratio and has a knot strength of approximately 60%. It replaces Mastrant-P in diameters of 6 mm (1/4 in.) and larger. Mastrant-S is a similar polyester/polypropylene rope, distinguished by its highly reflective strands for increased visibility. Mastrant-M is their highest strength rope with the Dyneema® DM20 core, a superior synthetic rope offering high performance at an affordable price. Very high strength, negligible elongation, very low weight, and great abrasion resistance are all attributes that make Mastrant-M the best rope for guying. Larger, stronger sizes of Mastrant-M are used in Europe and other parts of the world for tower guying. Durability and safety are of prime concern to ensure that an antenna installation remains fully operational for a long time. Antennas and guy lines are exposed to changing weather conditions, mechanical strain, UV radiation, humidity, and more. These non-conductive synthetic fibers have all the necessary qualities: high strength, negligible stretch but good flexibility, long life, low moisture collection, fast drying, a minimum bending radius adding the ability to tie knots, good UV radiation resistance, weather durability and resistance to acids and alkali. Conversely, steel guying wires are heavy, difficult to work with, and their strength deteriorates with time due to corrosion and general aging. Electrical conductivity of steel guys is an undesirable feature, as they interact with the antennas and adversely modify radiation patterns. Thanks to recent developments in synthetic materials, both amateur and professional users are changing over to non-conductive guys and ropes. Mastrant offers these products for a variety of applications, from thin support lines used for wire antennas and beams, to rope guys for supporting small and portable masts and vertical antennas. When you need quality rope to install, replace, or modify your antenna systems, consider Mastrant Antenna Support and Guy Line Ropes, now available from DX Engineering.
