ACOM 1500 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers
ACOM 1500 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers are user-friendly and look after themselves. They are designed to safely withstand up to 300 watts of reflected power and up to 100 milliseconds duration of drive spikes. These amplifiers also continue to function with "soft" AC mains and will deliver more than half power at only 85 percent of nominal mains voltage. They can withstand voltage drops for up to 10 milliseconds and can tolerate 15 percent mains voltage spikes. This level of tolerance is especially important on Field Day, during DXpeditions, and at portable operating events where emergency power is relied upon. Please see the SPECIAL Note, below. The True Resistance Indicator (TRI) is a powerful tuning aid that helps the operator to quickly and precisely match the antenna impedance to the optimum tube load impedance. The auto-operate function (when enabled) maintains the amplifier in the OPERATE mode, thus avoiding unnecessary manual operations. Your ACOM amplifier will enable you to change antennas virtually instantaneously and allow you to use your antennas over wider frequency ranges. Broadband input matching presents a very good load to the transceiver over the entire spectrum of 1.8-54 MHz. These amplifiers produce virtually-silent QSK. The input bypassing and vacuum antenna relays are virtually silent even in the CW QSK mode; thanks to specially designed mounting hardware. ACOM 1500 amplifiers utilize a single 4CX1000A ceramic and metal radial-beam tetrode vacuum tube with plate dissipation of 1,000 watts. Tube protection includes permanent monitoring and automatic protection of plate and grid voltages and currents, as well as the exhaust air temperature. These pieces of data are essential to indicate 4CX1000A operating conditions. All ACOM 1500 amplifier status indications are explained via detailed text displayed on the dot matrix, high brightness, vacuum fluorescent display (VFD). LED indicators are provided for Power, Operate mode, Attenuation-on, Transmit, Selected antenna output, and ON/OFF conditions. * Frequency Coverage: 1.8-54 MHz * Power Output: 1,500W PEP, 1,200W continuous carrier; for continuous carrier transmissions longer than 15 minutes the external auxiliary fan must be installed * Intermodulation Distortion: Better than 35dB below PEP rated output * Hum and noise: Better than 40dB below rated output * Harmonic Output Suppression: 1.8-21.5 MHz; 50dB below rated output, 24-54 MHz; 66dB below rated output * Input and Output Impedance: Nominal values: 50 Ohm unbalanced output; Input circuit: broadband, VSWR less than 1.3:1, 1.8-54 MHz (no tuning, no switching); Bypass path: VSWR less than 1.1:1, 1.8-54 MHz continuously * RF Gain: 13dB typically, frequency response less than 1dB (60-85 W drive power for rated output) * Primary Power: 100-264V (100, 110,120, 200, 210, 220, 230 and 240V nominal taps), 50-60Hz, single phase, 3500VA consumption at rated output * SPECIAL Note: Order part number AOM-1500 to wire the AC plug yourself; order part number AOM-1000-240 for pre-wired 240 volt operation * Complies with CE safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements as well as FCC-regulations * Size: 16.6 x 14 x 7.7 in. * Weight 58.4 lbs. * Operating environments: Temperature range 0 to 50 degrees C, Humidity up to 95 percent at 35 C * Altitude: up to 3,000m (10,000ft) above sea level without output deterioration Note: For additional information, please look at the files under the "Documentation" tab. ACOM 2100 HF + 6 Meter Linear Amplifiers
The ACOM 2100 is a complete and self-contained linear amplifier that covers all Amateur bands from 1.8 through 54 MHz and provides over 1500W PEP or continuous carrier output power, typically at only 40 to 55 watts drive. The 2100 utilizes a single 4CX1000A ceramic and metal radial-beam tetrode vacuum tube with plate dissipation of 1,000 watts. This manually tuned amp features many automatic functions. Tube protection includes permanent monitoring and automatic protection of plate and grid voltages and currents, as well as the exhaust air temperature, essential data that indicates the power tube operating conditions. The 2100 amplifier features virtually silent high-speed break-in CW (QSK). The input bypassing and vacuum antenna relays are virtually silent even in the CW QSK mode; thanks to specially designed mounting hardware. The 2100 is designed to safely withstand up to 400 watts of reflected power and up to 100 milliseconds duration of drive spikes. TBX Tower Packaged Tower Kits
TBX Tower Packaged Tower Kits are complete self-standing tower kits that are strong, yet affordable. Get your HF, VHF or UHF antenna up and into the clear with TBX self-supporting towers—priced competitively to guyed towers, but they fit into a smaller area where guys cannot be installed! These towers feature a strong X Brace design made of pre-galvanized steel with beaded channel legs and riveted construction. The kits use offset-mounting sections, a method that yields a lighter-weight tower that "steps down" in size with each section. Sections are supplied pre-assembled and arrive with the required hardware for an easy installation. TBX Towers are available in 24, 32, 40, 48, 56 and 64 ft. heights. Choose a package from the Standard Tower TBX series, the Heavy-Duty Tower THBX series, or the Extra Heavy-Duty Towers THDBX series. All packages include tower sections, top plate, rotor plate, mast mount and sleeve tube. Standard series towers include an 8 ft. x 1-1/4 in. mast. Each TBX tower package includes a top plate and a rotor plate that are appropriately sized for the provided top section. They're drilled to accommodate mounting stationary mast brackets and clamps. The TBX Rotor Plates have elongated holes that accommodate most CDE, Hy-Gain and Yaesu rotator models. Rotor plates are not intended for mounting thrust bearings and are not drilled for them. If your plans include using a 2 in. mast and thrust bearing, order one of the Extra Heavy-Duty THDBX series tower packages. They have TP-3 Top Plates which are large enough for a 2 in. mast thrust bearing and will accommodate field drilling the thrust bearing mounting holes. This includes the DX Engineering Advanced Design Thrust Bearing model DXE-TB-300 or the old style ROHN TB-3. Drilling is also required for mounting a Yaesu thrust bearing. For each tower package, you must add to your order either a Hinged Base or fixed Base Stubs, to be anchored in your reinforced concrete tower foundation. For more information on TBX Tower Packaged Tower Kits and TBX tower equipment, click on the "Charts & Guides" file link. TBX Tower Packaged Tower Kits provide a self-supporting radio antenna tower that will fit in areas where the real estate for guying a tower doesn't exist! TBX Tower Packaged Tower Kits from DX Engineering offer Amateur Radio Operators another solution for better communications!
