My Hustler 6-BTV is ground mounted with 40 radials, 20 of which are 32 ft. and the others anywhere from 12 ft. to 30 ft. or so. I live barely a mile from the Pacific Ocean and the soil is almost nothing but sand. Results have been good despite relatively poor band conditions and I'm pleased with the results.
