I have installed a dual band (40/30m) vertical in the back yard to provide great DX capability. By adding a balun and 40 ground wires, 1/4 wave long, I can routinely work Australia and the South Pacific each day from Central Texas. Here is my antenna line up: 1) DXE4030VA1 DualBand THUNDERBOLT® Vertical Antennas 2) DXERADW32RT Radial Kit 3) DXEBAL050H10AT Balun Note that I added stealth treatment to the vertical in order to blend in with my neighborly surroundings. The XYL approves as do my neighbors! I especially like the automatic switching between the two best DX bands today, especially for CW buffs. 73 Gene K5PA
