The Geochron Digital 4K UHD World Clock Now Available at DX Engineering

Since 1964, the craftsmen at Geochron have been making mechanical timepieces coveted by Amateur Radio enthusiasts around the globe. From the beginning, Hams have been finishing off their well-equipped shacks with the Geochron World Clock, featuring an endless belt driven by an electric clock motor in sync with the Earth’s rotation—a mechanized marvel of 300 moving parts hidden behind a luminous, full-color world map.

Geochron understood that choosing between buying a new rig and a clock, even one that shows the time anywhere in the world, was tough. Hence, this modern-day solution that displays all the features of the mechanical version—and more—but sells for a fraction of the cost: the Digital 4K UHD World Clock.

DX Engineering is the only Amateur Radio retailer worldwide that sells the Digital 4K UHD. The device gives viewers beautiful displays of the Earth with the sunrise-sunset rendered in real-time through a small computer that plugs directly into a 4K TV (not provided) via HDMI. Unlike its mechanical cousin, the size of the display is only limited by the size of the TV.
