DX Engineering Joins the Z60A Kosovo DXCC Celebration
DX Engineering is proud to play a role in the Z60A special operation to herald the addition of Kosovo as a DXCC entity.
To help boost local activity, DX Engineering has provided a Butternut HF9V 9-Band Vertical Antenna. The 26-foot vertical covers 80 through 6 meters and will be part of the ongoing operation. DX Engineering has been the exclusive manufacturer of Butternut Antennas since 2015. DX Engineering also provided DXE Brand RG-8X PL-259 Low-Loss 50-ohm Coax Cable Assemblies.
The Republic of Kosovo became a DXCC entity on January 21 and promptly snagged the #1 spot on Ham Radio’s Most Wanted List. This did not last, as the first Kosovo activation—executed by representatives from ten countries—netted 81,478 QSOs with 26,487 individual call signs. By February 21, Kosovo’s rank had dropped to #9. This is expected to fall even further as Kosovo will be active again from Wednesday, February 28, onward on the low-bands and in the ARRL DX SSB Contest. DXers from around the world will get another opportunity to become part of history by making Kosovo an ATNO.
