DX Engineering Named as an Official Dealer of Begali Keys

Morse code enthusiasts worldwide can now purchase Begali keys and paddles from DX Engineering. They are an official dealer of these Italian-made CW instruments.

DX Engineering currently carries more than 20 models of Begali straight keys and iambic paddles, including the WRTC 2026 Limited Edition Expedition Key—a twin paddle produced in celebration of the World Radiosport Team Championship to be held in the United Kingdom in July 2026.

Other options available at DX Engineering include the Sculpture single- and dual-lever paddle keys, 70th Anniversary Sculpture/Stradivarius iambic paddle key, and Spark straight key.

“The team at DX Engineering is honored to carry these precision-made devices beloved by amateur radio operators everywhere,” said Tim Duffy, K3LR, DX Engineering CEO. “As passionate CW operators ourselves, all of us here are very excited to bring the Begali family tradition of craftsmanship and innovation to our customers.”

Established in 1954, the Begali company began creating its line of keys and paddles ten years later when founder and dedicated CW operator Piero Begali, I2RTF, earned his amateur radio license. His goal was to “design and produce the best Morse code keys that money can buy,” per the company’s website.

Today, Begali keys and paddles are desired by contesters, DXers, and collectors for their artistry, mechanical achievement, and performance. They are available in a range of prices and designs to fit the operator’s objectives, code-sending style, and experience.

“We want to give the possibility to everyone, depending on their comfort when operating and their abilities, to be able to use the one they prefer,” said Bruna Begali, daughter of the company founder and Begali Keys spokesperson.
