Programmable Signal Source

Great for shack or field use, Elecraft’s versatile miniature XG3 160-2M RF signal source comes with four calibrated output levels and a host of performance-enhancing applications: receiver calibration, sensitivity tests, signal tracing, and as a VFO for home-brew projects.  Its serial port allows you to use a computer to set up its frequency and output level, assign frequencies to band switches, and set up sweep step size and rate. You can use the downloadable PC software or write your own XG3 applications. Programmable Signal Source comes factory assembled and tested, not as a kit.

W2 Wattmeter

Perfect for both QRO and QRP operators, the Elecraft W2 Wattmeter provides fast, high-brightness LED bar graphs of power and SWR that let you easily keep track of transmitter and amplifier performance. It features two sensor inputs, PC remote connectivity, over-range alarm and amp keying control. DX Engineering stocks two versions; the pre-assembled unit includes the tested power coupler for 2/20/200W, and the no-solder, easy-build kit includes the tested coupler for 20/200/2000W. W2 Wattmeter Sensors

These 1.8-54 MHz dual directional coupler remote sensors are available to expand the functionality of your W2 Wattmeter. Add a sensor to cover a different power range. Choose from 0.1- 200 watt or 1-2000 watt models. The come fully assembled and calibrated.

140W Computing Wattmeter/SWR Bridge, Full Kit

Perfect for kit-building projects and QRP enthusiasts, this versatile microprocessor-based RF power and SWR meter makes simple work of monitoring your equipment. It automatically selects the proper power range of up to 1.4, 14 or 140 watts and indicates the peak forward power and SWR on built-in bar-graph LEDs. High resolution power and SWR readings are also available through a connector as RS232 serial data for display on a computer.

25 Watt Dummy Load, Full Kit

Test with confidence! A smart tool for any shack, this general purpose, wideband 50-ohm Dummy Load lets you test or align your transceiver before connecting your antenna. The unit handles up to 20 watts continuous power, or higher power (up to 100 watts) in short bursts. It also includes a diode detector for measuring power output.

2-Tone Test Oscillator

Measuring Transmit Intermodulation Distortion (IMD) is critical when evaluating HF SSB transmitter or amplifier performance. This precision tool makes it simple. Elecraft’s 2T-GEN provides a standard 2-tone (700 and 1900Hz) audio source for IMD testing, allowing you to quickly assess how linearity may be impacting SSB fidelity and splatter. The mini-module is a compact 2.5" W x 3.5" L and fits directly into the microphone connector of almost any transceiver.

1:1/4:1 Balun, Full Kit

An excellent choice for both home and field use, this higher-power version of Elecraft’s BL1 model provides a conservative 250-watt rating and very cool operation at 100 watts. It includes a rugged, easy-to-use 4:1/1:1 switch, allowing optimization for different loads or feed lines. The unit’s special winding technique reduces losses and extends the useful range, resulting in an SWR of less than 1.2:1 from 500 kHz to 55 MHz. The balun also comes with screw terminals for the balanced output as well as ground.

Dual Directional Coupler, Full Kit

A welcome companion for Elecraft’s 2-Tone Test Oscillator, the CP1 Dual Directional Coupler lets you easily sample a transmitter’s forward power and reflected power output. The high-directivity coupler connects to an oscilloscope or station monitor for display of the transmit envelope. It can also be used with a diode detector to create a 25- or 250-watt SWR bridge, or with a spectrum analyzer and tracking generator to sweep the return loss (SWR) of an antenna or other device in real-time. The unit operates over a 1 MHz to 30 MHz frequency range.

USB Adapter Cable

DX Engineering now carries this special replacement USB interface cable (USB A to 3.5mm) for Elecraft’s famous KX3 160-6M Transceiver, its XG3 Programmable Signal Source, and other equipment.

Wideband Noise Generator, Full Kit

Don’t align your receiver without the versatile N-gen Wideband Noise Generator. Featuring bandwith within 3 dB from 100 kHz to 500 MHz, the N-gen can be used with software programs such as Spectrogram to align IF filters in Elecraft’s  K2 or in other receivers. It’s also handy for aligning the RF stages in Elecraft XV Transverters or other HF, VHF and UHF equipment.

3-Band Receiver Test Oscillator, Full Kit

Built off of Elecraft’s popular XG1, the XG2 delivers precision readings, with an output accuracy typically better than +/-2 dB. The unit is a fixed-frequency signal source with switch-selectable oscillator frequencies that have been expanded to three popular bands: 80, 40 and 20M. It can be used for receiver alignment and qualitative tests on or near most HF Ham bands; to determine a receiver’s Minimum Discernible Signal, as well as its overall receive gain; and for S-meter calibration.
