RM Italy HF and VHF Amplifiers Now Available at DX Engineering

DX Engineering carries a selection of RM Italy’s finest solid-state HF and VHF amplifiers. Here are three of its most popular offerings.

Ideally suited for low power HF radios, the HLA-305V is a wideband compact amplifier for the 160-10 meter bands. It accepts input power ranging from 1-10 watts, with a maximum output of 250 watts. An LCD screen displays amplifier status and a series of switches allow users to control amplifier output. The HLA-305V has six built-in band filters, selected by a front-panel rotary knob. The amplifier boasts twin-cooling fans for safe, reliable operation.

RM Italy’s LA-144 is tailored to low power handheld radios operating on the 2 meter band. It’s a wideband amplifier that’s small enough to easily fit in a shack or portable setup. The LA-144 accepts input power from half a watt up to 4 watts and delivers a nominal 60 watts at full power. It has a manual SSB/FM switch, automatic transmit/receive switching and large heat sinks to maintain optimal operating temperature.

THE LA-250V packs 200 watts maximum output power, and will accept from 1 to 25 watts of input power. The amplifier is perfectly at home in a 2 meter mobile or base station, with 2 large cooling fans to regulate its operating temperature. The amplifier’s LCD screen indicates its status, and front panel switches are easy to access. A low pass filter delivers peak 2 meter performance.
