Aeromotive Brushless Fuel Pumps and Modules Now Available at Summit Racing
What’s so cool about Aeromotive’s Brushless Fuel Pumps? It’s all in the motor. Instead of an armature that makes contact with—and eventually wears out—a set of brushes, the brushless motor in Aeromotive’s fuel pumps use magnets that rotate around a stationary armature. An externally-mounted speed controller manages the phase shift to keep the motor in motion, providing precise control of fuel pressure under tight tolerances. That means a pump that uses less current, runs cooler, and is more reliable and long-lived than pumps with a traditional ‘brushed’ motor.
Summit Racing offers Aeromotive Brushless Fuel Pumps in two distinct designs. All are available in three versions:
• External mount
• In-tank mount for Aeromotive Stealth fuel cells or custom cells with a 10 inch deep sump
•Complete module with your choice of pump; a 6, 10, or 20 gallon aluminum fuel cell; 100 micron stainless steel prefilter; and a universal 0-90 ohm fuel level sender
Rotary Vane Pumps
These pumps have a roller vane design that reduces friction and improves efficiency. They are lighter and quieter than their traditional equivalents.
The A1000 pump can flow up to two gallons per minute and can feed EFI engines making up to 1,300 horsepower and carbureted engines up to 1,500 horsepower.
• EFI Flow Rate: 700 lbs.-hr. at 45 psi
• Carbureted Flow Rate: 900 lbs.-hr. at 9 psi
• Inlet/Outlet Ports: -10 AN
The Eliminator pump flows three gallons per minute and is capable of feeding EFI engines making up to 1,900 horsepower and carbureted engines making up to 2,300 horsepower.
• EFI Flow Rate: 1,000 lbs.-hr. at 45 psi
• Carbureted Flow Rate: 1,300 lbs.-hr. at 9 psi
• Inlet/Outlet Ports: -12 AN
Gear Drive Pumps
Aeromotive’s gear drive pumps have a mini spur gear design that allows for higher pressures with a minimal drop in fuel flow. The pumps are engineered to handle extreme fuel flow demands with sustained flow at high pressure.
The 3.5 GPM Gear Pump flows 3.5 gallons per minute and is capable of feeding EFI engines making up to 2,400 horsepower and carbureted engines making up to 2,600 horsepower.
• EFI Flow Rate: 1,250 lbs.-hr. at 45 psi
• Carbureted Flow Rate: 1,350 lbs.-hr. at 9 psi
• Inlet/Outlet Ports: -12 AN inlet, -10 AN outlet
The 5.0 GPM Gear Pump flows five gallons per minute and is capable of feeding EFI engines making up to 3,400 horsepower and carbureted engines making up to 3,600 horsepower.
• EFI Flow Rate: 1,700 lbs.-hr. at 45 psi
• Carbureted Flow Rate: 1,850 lbs.-hr. at 9 psi
• Inlet/Outlet Ports: -12 AN inlet, -10 AN outlet
Aeromotive Brushless Fuel Pumps are compatible with gasoline and E85. If running E85, cut the maximum horsepower ratings by 30%.
