American Retro Steering Wheels: Classic Style for Modern Power Steering

The OEMs sure knew how to design steering wheels back in the 1950s and 1960s. Their big drawback was the size—some of those wheels were a whopping 18 inches in diameter. That was OK back in the day when you needed all the leverage you could get to make turns or do low-speed maneuvers in vehicles with manual steering boxes.

But if you’ve converted your classic to modern power steering, you don’t need to wrestle with a bus-size wheel. American Retro Steering Wheels are dead ringers for the OEM models, but are just 15 inches in diameter for more comfort and easier handling. The wheels will fit your original steering column using OEM-style horn, nuts, and turn signal switch parts.

Other features include:
• OEM look and feel
• Center emblem/logo is interchangeable with stock and reproduction emblems
• Black finish—can be painted to match your vehicle
• Chrome horn ring included depending on application

American Retro Steering Wheels for GM applications also fit ididit, Flaming River, and other GM-style aftermarket steering columns. An ididit Steering Wheel Adapter Kit will fill the gap between the bottom of the wheel and the top of the column.
