An Optima BlueTop Deep Cycle Marine Battery Can Handle What Your Boat Dishes Out

Boats are hard on traditional lead-acid batteries. Their flat-plate design can’t handle the constant vibration and jarring from the waves. That means decreased performance and more frequent replacement.

An Optima BlueTop Deep Cycle Marine Battery can handle the abuse. The Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries feature Optima’s Spiralcell technology that delivers more power and consistently outperforms conventional flat-plate batteries. BlueTop batteries are 15 times more vibration-resistant than the average lead-acid battery, virtually spill-proof, and are rated for over 300 discharge/recharge cycles They can also be mounted vertically, horizontally, or sideways to fit most any space—a big plus on a boat where space is at a premium.

Since they’re a deep cycle battery, the BlueTops can support high amperage loads when the engine is idling and alternator output drops, then recharge quickly when engine speed and alternator output increase. This also makes BlueTop batteries a great choice for RVs where you’re often running electrical accessories when the engine is at idle or shut off.

Summit Racing carries these Optima BlueTop Deep Cycle Marine Batteries:
• Group 34, 750 cold cranking amps
• Group 31, 900 cold cranking amps
• Group 27, 800 cold cranking amps

If all you need is a battery to start your boat’s engine, we carry Optima’s BlueTop Starting Battery. Rated at 800 cold cranking amps, it’s designed for high-current, short duration charges and will not support high-amperage electrical draws when the alternator cannot keep the battery fully charged.
