ARP Fasteners Are Tough Enough for Diesel Engines

The diesel engine in your pickup or SUV is one tough customer. It has to be to handle compression ratios as high as 25:1 for naturally aspirated engines and 20:1 for turbodiesels. When it’s time to refresh or rebuild your diesel, go with ARP fasteners. ARP Pro Series fasteners are cold-forged from ARP2000 alloy steel. With a clamp load rating of 220,000 PSI, it’s much stronger than 8740 chromoly.

Pro Series Cylinder Head Stud Kits
Most ARP Pro Series cylinder head stud kits come with ARP2000 studs. Kits for Chevy 6.6L Duramax and Dodge Cummins 12- and 24-valve engines are also available with studs made from ARP’s Custom Age 625+ alloy, which has a tensile strength rating of 260,000 to 280,000 PSI. We want to see the engine that breaks those.

All Pro Series cylinder head stud kits include 12-point nuts and hardened parallel washers for an even load distribution and accurate torque readings.

Pro Series Connecting Rod Bolt Kits
ARP Pro Series connecting rod bolts are precision CNC-machined to exacting specifications and designed for optimum reliability. They are heat-treated prior to machining, and the threads are rolled to provide up to ten times more fatigue strength.

Main Cap Stud Kits
ARP main cap stud kits help eliminate main cap walk and won’t pull out like bolts can. Most kits have studs made from 8740 chromoly steel that’s heat-treated to a 190,000 PSI tensile-strength rating. The J-form threads are rolled after heat treating for additional strength. Nuts and hardened parallel-ground washers are included.
