Be Prepared on the Trail with a Borne Off-Road Winch

It’s a good—no, make that essential—thing to have a winch around when you’re tackling a rocky or muddy trail. Borne Off-Road makes some nice ones that will help get you or a trail buddy unstuck if the going gets too rough.

Available in 10,000- and 12,000-pound pull ratings, the winches have these features:
• Three-stage planetary gearing
• 265: 1 gear reduction ratio
• Ergonomic clutch handle for smooth engagement and superior grip with gloved hands
• Black powdercoated hawse fairlead with large radius opening for reduced rope wear
• 85 feet of premium 3/8-inch synthetic rope with 20,000-pound breaking strength
• Anti-abrasive sheath on rope end for longer life expectancy
• Forged alloy steel hook with a 1.5-inch opening for snag-free rigging and rubber pads for better grip and fairlead protection
• Remote can be used wired or wireless—RFID-linked for enhanced security and safety
• Black Dacromet-coated hardware for superior corrosion resistance
• IP68-rated protection against wet weather and dust

The 10,000-pound winches have a 4.6 horsepower motor. The 12,000-pound winches have a 5.6 horsepower motor. You even get a choice of rope colors—red, blue, black, gray, or orange.
