Better Handling in a Box with a Hotchkis TVS Total Vehicle Suspension System
Refining suspension geometry is a precise science, which is why the brainiacs at Hotchkis did the work for you when they spec’d their TVS Total Vehicle Suspension Systems. The kits consist of performance suspension components precisely matched to work together for perfect handling harmony.
Hotchkis arranges the kits in stages. As the stages progress, spring rates get more aggressive and the ride becomes more track-focused. You pick the right stage for your driving style. Perhaps the best thing about the kits is that each part is also available separately, which means you can create the perfect balance of ride quality and handling firmness that you’re looking for.
Though exact contents of each Hotchkis TVS kit vary by vehicle application, here’s an example of what you’ll likely get when you buy one.
Kits include lowering coil/leaf springs, along with matching shocks. Hotchkis engineers add control arms and shackles when necessary to compensate for the revised geometry. Kits also have replacement bushings and hardware. Hotchkis uses polyurethane bushings instead of rubber because of its stiffness, which results in tighter, more predictable cornering. Traction bars are included for leaf spring kits to combat axle wrap.
Each kit features Hotchkis sway bars, which are precision engineered to suppress body roll while cornering. The bars are hollow so they’re lighter than a typical solid bar, yet they boast excellent strength and rigidity. They are CNC made to ensure a factory-fit and feature several adjustment holes to dial-in a precise setup.
Hotchkis makes TVS kits for a wide range of 1958-2017 Ford, GM, and Mopar vehicles, including these popular applications:
1967-2012 Chevy Camaro/Pontiac Firebird
1964-72 GM A-Body
1970-88 GM G-Body
1964-2012 Ford Mustang
1970-74 Dodge Challenger/Plymouth Barracuda
2008-13 Dodge Challenger
