Bid Death Wobble Goodbye with a Dorman Premium Chassis Steering Wobble Repair Kit for TJ Wrangler

Simply mention the words “death wobble” to TJ Wrangler owners who have experienced it and you’ll immediately witness the blood drain from their face and their knuckles turn white. The fact that it seemingly shows up out of nowhere after hitting a pothole or bump, or sometimes following a hard press of the brake pedal, only adds to the fear.

What exactly is death wobble? It’s a violent, uncontrollable vibrating of the entire front suspension and steering systems while driving that causes the vehicle to sway back and forth nearly completely out of control. Your Wrangler is designed to prevent this from occurring, but over time and use the front-end components wear out and the frequency of the vibrations become too great for them to absorb. That’s when death wobble sets in.

The fix for death wobble is Dorman Premium Chassis Steering Wobble Repair Kit. Dorman replaces key wear items with more durable solutions including upgraded upper and lower ball joints that boast oversized balls and grease fittings to keep them properly lubricated. You also get an adjustable track bar that helps correct chassis geometry misalignments on lifted vehicles; a heavy-duty steering damper; quick-disconnect sway bar end links; drag link and sleeve; tie rod ends; and mounting hardware.
