Boost Power with a Cold Air Intake from the K&N Family
If you have a car, pickup, or SUV made in the last 30 years or so, you can improve its performance with a cold air intake from K&N, Airaid, or AEM Induction Systems. They all make intakes designed to pull in cooler air and dramatically reduce restriction by smoothing and straightening airflow. This allows your engine to take in more cold, oxygen-rich air for dyno-proven increases in power and improved throttle response—you choose the one that best fits your vehicle and driving style. All intakes are covered by a limited lifetime warranty.
K&N 69 Series Typhoon Cold Air Intakes are designed for domestic and import passenger cars from 1994 through today. They feature a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum or plastic air tube and a reusable, oiled cotton gauze filter element that traps dirt and dust without restricting airflow. The Typhoon intakes come with a steel heat shield or a composite air box depending on the application.
AEM Induction Synthetic Dryflow Brute Force Air Intakes are designed for trucks and SUVs. They are tuned for specific applications and feature CNC mandrel-bent, 6061 aluminum tubing with reinforced TIG-welded brackets and fittings for maximum durability. The extra-large Dryflow synthetic filter element traps dirt without restricting airflow. The Dryflow element doesn’t use oiled filter media—just wash it when it gets dirty, let it dry, and it’s good to go. The air filter fits in the factory air box space and is protected by a stainless steel heat shield to reduce intake air temperatures.
Airaid SynthaMax CAD Intake Systems have a cold air dam design that keeps engine heat away from the extra-large SynthaMax air filter element. That means more cold, dense, power-building air gets into your engine. The conical filter element has two layers of oil-free synthetic media surrounded by a hand-poured urethane body that won't crack, curl, or shrink. Filter maintenance is easy—simply wash it in a mild household detergent, rinse, and let dry.
Most SynthaMax CAD Intake Systems come with a polyethylene air intake tube and fit in the stock filter location.
Summit Racing carries a bunch of other K&N, AEM Induction, and Airaid cold air intakes for cars, trucks, and powersports vehicles—check out the entire selection to find one that fits your vehicle.
