UniSteer Rack and Pinion Kits
Replace your old, inefficient steering system with a modern UniSteer rack and pinion. Made from durable cast aluminum, these bolt-on racks match stock suspension geometry to eliminate bump steer and retain proper alignment. Available in both power and manual steering versions, UniSteer rack and pinions deliver more responsive feel than steering boxes and increase engine bay clearance. Plus, their light weight reduces front-end load for better handling. Kits may include all or some of these components:

• Mounting bracket
• Pump and line kit

• Steering arms
• Tie rod ends
• Bushings

Summit Racing carries more than 50 UniSteer Performance Rack and Pinion Kits for many 1928-2004 Chevy, Ford, Mercury, and Pontiac vehicles. They’re available in black powdercoat or natural finishes.

UniSteer Steering Shaft Kits
Complete your installation of a UniSteer rack and pinion or rack-only kit that does not include a steering shaft. Choose from 12 kits that pair with a UniSteer rack and pinion and fit specific aftermarket steering columns. The kits include a steel or stainless-steel shaft and U-joints for added strength and durability. Some kits also come with mounting brackets, support bearings, and hardware. They’re available in natural, polished, nickel-plated, or zinc-plated finishes.

UniSteer Replacement Tie Rod Ends
These outer tie rod ends deliver more strength, improved steering precision, and a longer life. Built to complement your UniSteer rack and pinion, the tie rod ends are greaseable (where applicable), and some include grease fittings and castle nuts for installation.
