Build a Better LS Engine with a Summit Racing™ SPC Pro LS Block

If you’re looking for the right foundation for a more powerful LS engine, start with a Summit Racing™ SPC Pro LS Block. Designed as a replacement and an upgrade over factory-style LS blocks, the SPC block is made for street performance or competition use—any application where you want to add more power.

The SPC Pro LS Block is cast from class 35 iron in Germany at a Tier 1 OEM foundry on brand new molds. Class 35 iron is harder and has a higher tensile strength than the competition’s class 30 iron. The blocks are then machine-finished in the USA with dimensions close to the original GM blueprint.

The SPC LS block ships with 4.125-inch bores. The bores are .005 inches undersize so you can final-hone them for proper piston-to-cylinder wall clearance.

• 468 cubic-inch capacity (4.185-inch max bore with a 4.250-inch max stroke)
• Ventilated, 6-bolt billet steel main caps with 180,00 PSI main bolts included
• Cast-in stroker clearance for 4.00-inch steel rods. Can fit 4.250-inch rods with additional clearancing
• Standard 9.240-inch deck height
• Siamese cylinder wall skirts extended .250-inch
• Four-bolt cylinder head pattern
• Priority main oiling system with center crossover eliminates cam retainer leaks

The Summit Racing SPC LS Engine Block requires the use of Chevrolet Performance LSX Lifter Guides; third design/Gen IV cam bearings; and GenIV head bolts, valley cover, and cam position sensor.
