Build a Righteous Bottom End with a Scat Rotating Assembly
You can’t go wrong using a Scat Rotating Assembly as the foundation for your next engine build. And with 767 different kits available, chances are Summit Racing has the Scat rotating assembly you need. Many assemblies come fully factory-balanced and ready to drop in your engine block.
Scat rotating assemblies are available with your choice of cast or forged crankshafts:
Ideal for street use and mild race engines, 9000 Series cast cranks are a big step up from OEM. The cranks are made from Scat’s proprietary 9000 steel, then precision-ground and micropolished.
Scat’s 4340 forged cranks are for the heavy hitters. They are CNC-machined from non-twist forgings, then heat-treated and nitrided. The cranks have chamfered, ‘straight shot’ oil holes to keep the bearings properly lubricated. Lightening holes in the rod journals help keep the weight down, and large journal radius improve strength and wear resistance.
Depending on the kit, your Scat rotating assembly will come with standard,
I-beam, or H-beam connecting rods; King, Federal Mogul, or Clevite 77 bearings; and a piston and ring kit from SRP, JE Pistons, Ross, Keith Black, Diamond, or Probe.
Summit Racing has Scat rotating assemblies for standard and stroker combination for these engines:
