Build Better Plumbing with Fragola 6000 Series PTFE Hose and Real Street Hose Ends

Don’t mess around when you build brake lines, power steering, or even nitrous oxide. Go with Fragola’s 6000 Series PTFE-lined hose and Real Street PTFE hose ends. Short for polytetrafluoroethylene and otherwise known as Teflon. PTFE is compatible with gas, diesel, and alcohol fuels as well as oil, coolant, and most fluids that quickly kill ordinary rubber hose, even the stainless braided stuff. Hose with a PTFE lining also resists higher temperatures than rubber, and does not suffer from fuel permeation that will quickly degrade and dry out rubber hose.

Fragola makes its 6000 Series PTFE Hose by extruding PTFE powder into a smooth bore tube, then feeding the tube into a machine that weaves stainless steel wire around it in the familiar braided pattern. Fragola 6000 Series PTFE Hose is available in bare stainless or with your choice of clear or black covers to prevent the stainless braid from scratching or scuffing parts the hose contacts. The hose comes in -3, -4, -6, -8, -10, and -12 AN sizes.

Since PTFE hose is not as flexible as rubber hose, you must use hose ends designed specifically for it. Fragola’s Real Street PTFE Hose Ends feature a miniature “olive” that retains the hose inside of the fitting for a tight seal. You can reuse the fittings by replacing the olives with new ones. The hose ends also have a double-swivel design that allows you to clock them for a clean installation.

Fragola Real Street PTFE Hose Ends are available in black anodized aluminum and zinc-plated steel. The aluminum hose ends are available in -4, -6, -8, -10, and -12 AN sizes. The steel hose ends are available in -3, -4, -6, and -8 AN sizes and are recommended for plumbing brake, power steering, and air conditioning lines.
