C&R Racing Radiator Modules: Competition-Level Cooling for Your Street Machine

Take a look at your typical single- or two-row aluminum radiator. It probably has a core with tubes around one inch wide, which will provide adequate cooling for the engine in your daily driver or work truck. But modern performance and racing engines tend to run higher cooling system pressures. That can cause those one inch tubes to balloon. When that happens, the gap between each row of tubes gets smaller, which restricts airflow through the radiator. That’s a recipe for higher engine temperatures.

The aluminum radiator in C&R Racing’s Radiator Modules is different. Developed using the company’s F1 and NASCAR cooling technology, the radiator core features extruded aluminum tubes; each row can have up to 12 tubes depending on the application. This eliminates any chance for the tubes to balloon and restrict airflow. The design also gives the C&R radiator a 100 PSI burst rating—about three times the burst pressure of standard performance aluminum radiators.

The fins on many aluminum radiators are very thin and can fold over and block airflow, so C&R gave its radiators cross-braced fins with hemmed forward edges to add strength and resist fold-over. C&R radiators are also fixture welded during assembly to increase torsional rigidity, with added support at all four corners. You’re getting one tough, high-flow radiator.

C&R Racing Radiator Modules come with a single or dual Spal electric fans, and some radiators have a built-in automatic transmission cooler. Direct-fit modules are available for these vehicles:
