Cam Motion Camshafts for GM LS Now Available at Summit Racing
Judging from the buzz Cam Motion is getting for its GM LS camshafts, every LS motor on the block will eventually have one of its sticks. Cam Motion has been grinding performance and racing camshafts since 1978, and has taken those years of experience and developed hundreds of profiles for LS and Gen5 LT1 engines. Whether you want to add a little juice to your pickup, improve the performance of your blower or turbo motor, or are building a naturally aspirated track hero, Cam Motion has you covered.
One issue with other aftermarket LS cams is the annoying ‘sewing machine’ sound they can cause. Cam Motion carefully engineered the cam lobes to help eliminate this issue. It also CNC polishes every camshaft for quiet, smooth valvetrain operation and excellent valvetrain stability even at high rpm."
Every Cam Motion camshaft comes with a free Cam Doctor printout that provides an accurate snapshot of your cam’s specific profile. The Cam Doctor machine precisely “maps” each cam lobe to verify the cam was machined to the specifications listed on the cam card. Not every cam company takes this extra step to insure your camshaft will perform as designed.
Summit Racing carries over 300 Cam Motion LS camshaft profiles like these:
Titan Series Camshafts
The Titan Series are Cam Motion’s top hydraulic roller performance camshafts. They’re available in six stages from the Titan I profiles for mild street performance all the way to Titan King cams for serious street and bracket race cars.
Truck Camshafts
Cam Motion’s truck camshafts are engineered to increase power while still maintaining excellent torque characteristics needed in a truck or SUV. These camshafts are for stock and mildly modified vehicles (high flow exhaust, cold air intake). The Drop-In Series cams are designed for use with stock valve springs. The High-Lift cams require the use of Cam Motion upgrade springs.
Turbocharger Camshafts
Sizing a camshaft for a turbo motor is critical for maximum power and drivability. Cam Motion offers turbo cam profiles for street performance, aggressive street, street/strip, and racing. They're available in single pattern, dual pattern, and reverse split configurations.
Race Day Series Camshafts
Cam Motion Race Day Series Racing LS camshafts are designed for drag racing applications running single-plane intake manifolds like the Edelbrock Victor, High Ram, Mid Ram, and Chevrolet Performance Parts intakes. The cams have a rough idle and require intake and exhaust system modifications for maximum flow.
Summit Racing also carries Cam Motion pushrods, valve springs, hydraulic and solid roller lifters, and other valvetrain components to complete your camshaft installation.
