Cams, Springs, and Cranes: The Latest Summit Racing Brand Products

If saving money while still getting the performance you want sounds good to you, then check out these Summit Racing Brand products. We’ve got roller cams for late model small block Chevys, an LS6 valve spring that’s actually available, and a gantry crane to pick up the heavy stuff.

Summit Racing™ Pro SBC Camshafts
Roller cams are the bee’s knees for several reasons. They allow for more aggressive profiles to build power while still delivering civilized street manners. Furthermore, they reduce internal friction because it takes less energy to spin a roller cam than it does a flat-tappet cam.

Summit Racing’s new Pro SBC hydraulic roller cams for 1987-2002 Gen 1 small bock Chevy engines use the latest lobe design to open the valve much faster and hold it open for a longer period of time. This permits a bigger air/fuel charge to enter the combustion chamber for more power. They are made from American-made steel billets and are precision-machined on modern CNC grinders with CBN diamond wheels for unmatched quality. You can get them in four horsepower levels, giving you the choice to match the performance and idle characteristics to your needs.

Summit Racing™ LS6 Valve Springs
If you’re working with a 2001-09 5.7L or 6.0L GM LS, then give these new Summit Racing LS6-style valve springs a look-see for your cam swap. The beehive-style single springs are a drop-in for the factory springs and can handle cams making up to .550 inches of valve lift. It’s also a good choice for Gen I small block Chevy with Vortec heads; add a set of +.050 inch retainers or locks and you’re good to go.

Summit Racing™ 1-Ton Adjustable Height Gantry Crane
Whatever you need to lift, the Summit Racing Gantry Crane is up to the task. And why not? Its all-steel construction coupled and 2,200 lb. load capacity means it eats heavy loads for breakfast. Want to yank the engine out of your car? Go for it. Do you need to lift the cab of your Super Duty out of the way to change the head studs on your Powerstroke? Easy peasy. Do you have some heavy equipment that needs moved across the shop? Then strap it up to the gantry crane and get-r-done, son. The crane adjusts from 94.25 inches to 141.5 inches in height, and spans 94 total inches to accommodate the widest vehicles. It rolls smoothly on four rubber-coated 5-inch locking swivel casters, and when it’s not in use, the crane disassembles quickly without tools for storage and transport.
