COBB Tuning Power Packages Now Available at Summit Racing

Subaru fans need no introduction to COBB Tuning. The company got its start making performance parts and offering tuning services for Subies way before anyone else in the U.S. And once the WRX and STi arrived on North American shores, COBB Tuning was ready to wring every ounce of performance as possible out of those cars.

COBB Tuning still does wonders for Subarus plus other cars like the BMW 3-Series, Ford Ecosport-powered cars like the Mustang and Focus ST, even Mitsubishi Evolutions and Porsches. To make upgrading even easier, the company makes Power Packages that feature matched components in several stages.

The heart of each COBB Tuning Power Package is the Accessport V3 Programmer. It unlocks hidden horsepowerby replacing conservative factory ECU settings with COBB’s downloadable off-the-shelf (OTS) calibration maps. You can also create custom calibrations and download them to the Accessport using the preloaded AP Manager software.

All Accessport V3 programmers have these features:
• Stores up to 100 maps from COBB's calibration map database or a COBB-authorized tuner
• Data logs multiple channels simultaneously and stores up to 10 hours of data
• Measures 0-60 times, 60-foot and 1/4 mile ETs, and trap speed 
* RPM-adjustable shift light
• Monitor up to six engine parameters in real time
• Reads and clears codes
• Full color, high-resolution screen with customizable layouts (race, street, dyno)
• Uninstall feature returns ECU to the stock calibration
• In-vehicle mount with on/off switch
• Available interchangeable faceplates

The Accessport V3 is vehicle-specific, and each version has tuning features exclusive to that car.

COBB Tuning makes three stages of Tuning Packages:

Stage 1 Packages have the Accessport V3 and a high-flow air filter element. Move up to a Stage 1+ Package and you’ll get upgrades like a cold air intake or a front-mounted intercooler depending on the vehicle.

Stage 2 Packages add a cold air intake and an intercooler. Some also include a stiffer billet aluminum rear motor mount. Stage 2+ Packages add a turbo downpipe with catalytic converter; a cat-back exhaust system is also included depending on the vehicle.

Move up to a Stage 3 Package and you get the air intake, intercooler, turbo downpipe, and a cat-back exhaust system. Some packages also include things like a rear motor mount, polyurethane exhaust hanger bushings, boost control solenoids, or fuel system upgrades like fuel injectors and fuel pumps.
