Coker Tire American Classic Bias-Ply Look Radial Tires: Period-Correct Style Plus Modern Handling

Folks told Corky Coker of Coker Tires that combining the period-correct look of a bias-ply tire with radial tire construction would never work—but he paid them no mind. Instead, he and his team developed the award-winning American Classic Bias-Ply Look Radial Tire that was the first tire to feature the tall and narrow profile of a bias-ply tire PLUS steel-belted radials to provide modern handling and ride quality.

The two-in-one tires feature a period-correct ‘pie-crust’ edge and tread pattern that fits 1940s-60s vehicles, plus a true whitewall stripe made from rubber that’s a permanent part of the tire’s construction and won’t wear off like painted stripes. Available in a wide variety of sizes, American Classic Bias-Ply Look Radial Tires look great in staggered setups with matching tread patterns or in square setups on anything from a Thunderbird to a vintage Corvette. Additional features include:

•  Choose from whitewall, narrow whitewall, or black sidewall with one-inch whitewall options for early 1960s classics
•  S speed rating (112 MPH)
•  Direct replacement for bias-ply tires
•  Rigorously tested and DOT-approved

American Classic Bias-Ply Look Radial Tires are available with a one-inch whitewall in these sizes:  670/R15 (4.5- or 6-inch wheel); 750/R14 (5- or 6-inch wheel); and 800/R14 (5- or 6-inch wheel).

Summit Racing also carries Coker American Classic Collector Radial Tires in 13-, 14-, or 15-inch diameters. They have a smooth sidewall and classic tread pattern with your choice of wide or narrow whitewall, blackwall, or redline or goldline stripes with a raised 3/8-inch sidewall.
