Converting to an Electronic Ignition is Easy with PerTronix Flame-Thrower Plug and Play Billet Distributors
Replacing your point’s distributor with an electronic ignition is one of the most important safety and performance decisions you can make while rebuilding your vehicle. Not only do they offer more clearance around the intake manifold and firewall than a big honkin’ HEI-type distributor, but you can also count on a Pertronix Flame-Thrower Plug-N-Play Billet Distributor’s steadfast reliability to get you to the local cruise spot or to that big show several states away and back every time.
Unlike most auto parts store distributors, these units feature all brand-new (not rebuilt or remanufactured) components. The drive gears are made from hardened steel for exact tolerances, and the vacuum canister is adjustable. The mechanical advance curve has been factory set for top performance and drivability, and additional springs for custom advance curves are also supplied. Another great feature is that Flame-Thrower Plug and Play Billet Distributors are available with Ignitor® II and III module technology. The Ignitor II module delivers a hotter spark and works great with aftermarket coils. The Ignitor III module ups the ante with a built-in digital rev limiter and multi-spark, so no external box is required.
Could it get any better than that? It sure can—check out these other standard features!
