Cooling Components Electric Fans: Cooling that Will Fit Your Radiator

Cooling Components makes some electric fans you’ll want to see. They feature an integral ABS plastic fan shroud, come in sizes for most radiators. and are among the slimmest available. And if you happen to have some weird-sized or custom radiator, you can trim the shroud to fit. That makes Cooling Components Electric Fans perfect for custom vehicle builders.

Summit Racing carries three types of Cooling Components fans plus an nifty fan controller

Brushless Electric Fans
Cooling Components Brushless Electric Fans feature high-quality 14 inch or dual 12 inch diameter fans. They have brushless electric motors that are slimmer, quieter, and more efficient than brushed motors. That means the fans can flow more air and last longer.

The Brushless Electric Fans turn on and off based on temperature and require a temperature sensor. Most single fans are rated at 3,500-plus CFM of airflow, and the dual fans are rated at 4,000-plus CFM.

Slim-Line Electric Fans
At just 2.625 inches thick, Cooling Components Slim-Line Electric Fans are ideal for vehicles that have little space between the radiator and the engine’s water pump or accessory drive. Most single fan units have 17 inch diameter fans with brush-style motors. They’re rated at 3,000-plus CFM of airflow. The dual fan units have 12 inch diameter fans with brushless motors rated at 3,500-plus CFM of airflow. Most Slim-Line fans come with universal mounting brackets. A 70 amp or larger relay is required.

Single-Speed Hi-Rev Electric Fans
Rated at 3,000-plus CFM of airflow, the Hi-Rev fans have shorter and wider shrouds that are ideal for 1950s and 1960s cars with lower profile radiators. The fans have 16 inch diameter fans with eight S-curve blades and brushed or brushless electric motors that pull just 33 amps. That helps take some pressure off of your electrical system.

2-Speed Fan Controller
Cooling Components 2-Speed Fan Controller is a solid-state unit that is more reliable than old school relays and temperature sending units. You can choose one of three temperature settings (184°/195°/205°) based on your thermostat setting. The controller can activate the fan based on engine coolant temperature; if your engine warms up faster than normal, for example, the controller will switch on the fan sooner.

Other features include:
• Temperature sensor mounts under thermostat housing bolt
• Can control single or dual fans, one or two speed
• 30+ amp continuous load, 80 amp startup surge
• Trinary switch to activate fan when air conditioning kicks on
• Detects temperature sensor faults, turns on fan for fail-safe operation
• Reverse battery, short circuit, and overload protection
• 10-32 studs for solid high-current connection
• Weather-resistant design

Wiring Harnesses for Brushed-Motor Fans
These harnesses come with 10-gauge wiring, 40 or 70 amp relay, and a fuse or circuit breaker. All connections are properly soldered and crimped.
