CSF Radiator Performance Cooling System Components Now Available at Summit Racing

A company that’s made 35 million radiators, intercoolers, A/C condensers, and other cooling system components probably knows how to build stuff for performance use. CSF Radiator has applied that experience to radiators, fluid coolers, and intercooler cores for high performance and racing. Here is a sample of what’s available at Summit Racing.

Aluminum Racing Radiators
CSF Racing Radiators are not gussied-up OEM parts. Take the tube design, for example. Instead of industry-standard ‘O-shaped’ welded tubes, CSF forms its radiator tubes into a ‘B’ shape and furnace-brazes them down the middle. The divides each tube into halves, providing the efficiency of two smaller tubes vs. one large tube in the same amount of space. That increases heat transfer surface area and allows the use of thinner, lighter aluminum to save weight.

CSF uses high-efficiency, multi-louvered fins precisely aligned to maximize airflow through each radiator core. Fin specifications are calculated for each application, and tested for maximum heat rejection efficiency in CSF's wind-tunnel lab.

You even get a choice of end tank designs. The OEM-style radial tanks are fully TIG-welded and give you a sleek, smooth look. The deep-drawn tanks are stamped to mimic OEM plastic end tanks. They need less welding and are considered the strongest tanks available.

Additional features include:
• Military-grade aluminum used for tubes, fins, and headers
• TIG-welded and furnace-brazed
• Racing-style aluminum drain plug
• CNC-machined fittings
• CSF's Show-Stopper mirror polish finish

CSF Racing Radiators are available in application-specific models for many popular Honda/Acura, BMW/Mini, Ford, Mazda, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Toyota/Scion, and VW cars.

King Cooler Radiator
At 10 inches long, 10.5 inches high, and 5.65 inches wide with its SPAL electric fan, the King Cooler Radiator is ideal for drag racing, off-road racing, and short-course road and circle track racing where space is at a premium. Using the same B-tube cooling technology found in CSF’s Racing Radiators, it has a 3.5 inch thick, two-row core—the largest two-row core made according to CSF. It has threaded bungs with nipple fittings for 1.25 inch and -16 AN inlet/outlet connections and comes with universal mounting brackets.

Intercooler Cores
CSF air-to-air intercooler cores are designed for folks who want to fabricate a custom-fit intercooler. They are available in cross-flow and vertical-flow designs in multiple sizes. Features include:

• Heavy-duty bar and plate construction
• Hand-built on jigs and fixtures for a perfectly straight core and easy welding
• Batch-brazed in computer-controlled vacuum-brazing ovens
• Multi-louvered, high-precision staggered fin design on the ambient and pressure sides of the core
• Pressure tested at 120 PSI for maximum reliability in extreme boost applications

Summit Racing also carries CSF’s Magnum Series intercooler cores; at six inches wide they’re the world’s thickest cores and are rated up to 1,400 horsepower. If that still isn’t enough, we have ultra-efficient water-to-air cores rated for up to 2,000 horsepower.

We also carry CSF’s line of OEM-replacement radiators, intercoolers, A/C condensers, and charge-air coolers for turbodiesel trucks.
