Cure Your Paint Job Like the Pros with an Infratech Portable Infrared Drier
Many professional paint shops air-cure their paint jobs with infrared heaters instead of using forced-air heat. Infrared heat offers exceptionally fast dry times, and requires little to no airflow. That helps minimize the risk of getting dirt and other contaminants in the paint. Infrared heat also offers higher curing temperatures, which can provide higher paint gloss with less orange peel and better adhesion.
Home painters can get the benefits of infrared heaters thanks to Infratech. Its portable infrared systems operate on standard 120 volt household current, and feature 36 inch wide quartz lamps with parabolic reflectors for uniform heat distribution. You have a choice of two versions. The 1,500 watt/12.5 amp system covers a 2 x 3 foot area, while the high-intensity 2,000 watt/17 amp system covers a 3 x 4 foot area. The 2,000 watt system has a 60-minute timer that turns the lamp off when time expires. The lamp can also be positioned vertically or horizontally to cure hard-to-reach spots.
The Infratech infrared systems can be safely used on plastic, aluminum, steel and fiberglass components. They come with heavy-duty stands that adjust up to six feet to cure roofs and hoods, and have casters for easy movement around the shop.
